“More a B and B than Boutique Hotel”

I booked this on the basis of Trip Advisor Reviews. What a mistake I can't imagine what sort of place people normally use. The hotel rooms are small and the bathroom no more than a corridor. As for magnificent views from breakfast you overlook rooftops and nothing spectacular. It is however in a great location within walking distance of all the sites but there are better hotels in the area. As for the owner he smiled, greeted us and gave simple information but no more. I would not return

We stayed here 4 nights at the end of May. The Owner/Innkeeper, Dogn, was fantastic. He helped with every request we had cheerfully and enthusiastically. This is a family run small hotel, but the service, food and rooms were perfect for us. The view from the breakfast terrace was lovely as was the view from our 4th floor sea view room. We paid cash so the price was very reasonable. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Even free international phone calls!

Room Tip: Be prepared for the call to prayers at 10:30pm and 4:15am. If you are a light sleeper, you may find...

What a delight spending two nights in this gem of a hotel. Have stayed in other locations in Istanbul and this spot is central to historic sites in the old city. It is walking distance to everything and a few blocks from tram. Its relatively quiet compared to other locations (remember the call to prayer before dawn in everywhere so bring earplugs.) But the view over the Bosphorus is priceless. Rooms have beautiful linens and spotlessly clean. A gem of a place.

• Very good
• Perfect location – a couple of minutes from the Hippodrome, within walking distance to “almost everything” (Sultanahmet, Topkapi, the Bazars and even Beyoglu)
• Friendly, nice and clean. Good breakfast – great view from the breakfast terrace
• Wonderful room – jacuzzi in the room (!) overlooking the sea of Marmara
• Nothing to complain about

My wife and I stayed here for a few nights and the good service and location was as promised. We did find that the room, while beautifully decorated, was very small (it was on the ground floor), as was the en suite. The view from the rooftop is very pleasant- looking out over the ships in the Sea of Marmara and the breakfast is very good but the roof space is also a bit tatty. It is a very small hotel- not much space apart from the rooms though the Apple laptop with internet at reception is handy and not much used. We got some laundry done and paid a lot for it only to get it back damp- to be fair, the manager got it sorted quickly once he was made aware. Next time in Istanbul we'll go up Beyoglu end of town as the Old City area tends to be outrageously expensive. And we all know the heart of Istanbul is Taksim Square!

I spent three nights in Ada Hotel during a business trip in Istanbul. This is one of the best hotels I´ve ever been!

Firstly, I stayed in two different rooms. Both rooms were extremely tidy and clean. Rooms were extremely well equipped. Iron was an excellent surprise, especially since I was on a business trip. Toilets were very clean and luxurious. Even in some expensive hotels toilets can be "cheap" but in ADA Hotel it was the contrary. Hotel manager was very helpful and caring. Also the communication before arrival was extraordinary fluent.

Location is just perfect. After one block (100m walk) you are in the heart of Sultanhamet (Old City) where all the restaurants and people are. Also further transportation are available from there on. However the hotel itself is located in peaceful street and the noise from Old City does not disturb your sleeping.

Breakfast was very diverse and delicious. Taking into account that this is a small hotel run by few people the breakfast could be rated as 10++. Usually this versatile breakfast is available in hilto etc. And the roof terrace was extremely nice place to start your day while having breakfast.

All in all Ada Hotel is highly recommended!

This was our first trip to Turkey/Istanbul and we didn't know what to expect. All worries quickly disappeared once we passed through the front door of the Ada Hotel. The responsive, caring and knowledgable staff went out of their way to assure our needs were met even when it meant altering access to breakfast. Don't miss breakfast...local specialties and very fresh, delicious selections are exceptional. The view from the roof, especially of the sea, is very special. All calls were free because the service into rooms is VOIP. Price was very reasonable. We would all stay here again when returning to Istanbul (which we all also want to do!).

Room Tip: The room in the front on the next to top floor had a jacuzzi tub raised to see the sea from the wind...
