“Friendly and ideal location.”

You can't go wrong with the location of the hotel, in the heart of the old town. All of the historical and touristic sites are walking distance away. Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Topkapi Place , Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazar, Spice Market, where ever you fancy to visit you don't have to walk far. There are two tram stops near the hotel , comes handy when you want to hop on the tram to visit the city center Taksim..

Rooms are very comfortable, good size bed and very clean, be sure to get a room with a view of Hagia Sofia. Staff are very kind, helpful, friendly and polite,

On our first visit to Istanbul a few years ago, we stayed at the Ottoman Imperial Hotel. We were very satisfied with all that it offered. Last month we returned to the city and the hotel and were so pleased to find that they are still a great place to be. Spotlessly clean, conveniently located and with excellent, responsive management, this boutique hotel offers comfortably sized rooms, nicely furnished and with great service. There is an excellent restaurant on site where the hotel's wonderful breakfast buffet is served. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. The location is just a short distance from many of the city's famous historic sites.

Room Tip: Request rooms on the 2nd floor or above

Very class hotel, good service and good staff. Location gets a top mark from us, you can walk to all the important sights in minutes. Good size and comfortable rooms, plenty of amenities to get you through your visit, free wifi which works real well throughout the hotel. Every part of the hotel was very clean. It's a good choice to stay in Istanbul.

I stayed here in November and wow what a location! Is situated right next to Aya Sofya and so within very close proximity of the other key attractions of Istanbul. Perfect location for a short trip as I was there for.

The hotel itself is nice and the breakfast buffet is great - very extensive but I was given one of the dungeon rooms at the bottom of the hotel with no view, was very dark and had a leaking bathroom so it was a bit disappointing. If I'd stayed longer I would have had to ask to be moved.

The food in the restaurant is very fancy, I ordered it a couple of times but more often went outside for the cheaper, more 'normal' fare. The room service did take a long time but all credit to them when I complained about a wait of over an hour, they rectified the situation quickly.

I organised transfers through the hotel which cost 25 Euro each way (email the hotel direct) and the process was very smooth and the cars lovely. A good option rather than taxis.

With regards to what to see - the usual places have to be on the list but I also did the open top bus tour (you can negotiate prices!) and the best place by far to visit was the Basilica Cistern which was amazing.

All up a good stay.

Room Tip: The higher up the better!

We recently stayed here for 3 days in November based on other travellers reviews. The location was ideal and we had a lovely room , bright, airy, spacious and very clean ,gets cleaned everyday and the bathroom was large and modern. The breakfast was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. Well worth the price!

Very kind and helpful staff who were keen to help in every possible way. The position of this hotel could not be better: it's well away from the busier part of Sultanahmet and exceptionally quiet considering that you are the heart of the old city.

Very nice comfortable bed, we had a decent size room it was very clean. The best part of it was the location, you're just around the corner from all the historical attractions. Would recommend.

You could not dream of a better location, across the cobble stone street from Aya Sofia and a short walk to Blue Mosque, Topkapi palace, Basilica Cistern and the train station. Well sized and soundproof rooms. I would recommend the rooms overlooking the Hagia Sofia rather than the ones on the street and tram side. Much nicer.

Service is top notch, breakfast are all you would want and the free Wifi was always working and fast. My room was very nice, well lit, beautiful bathroom.
