I stayed 4 nights at the Ottoman Imperial and it was my best stay in Istanbul ever. I loved everything about this hotel, the Location, building, decoration, rooms, bathrooms, restaurant and terrace, just everything. The staff was so nice and helpful and always there to serve as good as they can. The view over Hagia Sophia and Sultanahmet area is so beautiful from the Breakfast restaurant in the morning. It is just 100m to all the main attractions in the Old City. If you like to stay at an historical place, then you will be just right with this Hotel.

My best wishes to the reception staff and hope very soon to see you all again.

warm greetings from Nanny, Nada and Sara

This was an excellent few days in Istanbul. The hotel was located within walking distance of everything we wanted to see, the staff were superb, the rooms while being on the small side were very comfortable and well appointed and I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. My especial thanks go to Misses Delara and Gamze who were so helpful

Very helpful and friendly staff. The room was perfect for our short stay. Clean and welcoming, very comfy beds. The Reception area gave us tips on good restaurants and helped us organize tours that suited our schedule. the location couldn't be better as it was a short walk to all the places we planned to visit. Breakfast was always replenished with a good choice of Turkish style food as well as the basic eggs, toast, cereal, fruit and yoghurt's. Tried Dinner in the evening, very nice. Would definitely go back.

My friend and I had a 20 hour layover in Istanbul and I chose this hotel based on the the reviews. The location was perfect. Right in the middle to everything. While we only stayed for a night, the reception staff were very kind to make sure that we make the most of our stay. Gave us a good corner bedroom. The room size was big compared to other hotels in the same category. Bathroom was more than adequate. The hotel was clean. The lady concierge, who was very pleasant, showed us on the map where to go to maximize our time. Most tourist spots are well within walking distance. And realizing that we are leaving early in the morning the next day and we will then miss the hotel breakfast, she arranged to have our breakfast packed for us to take to the airport. It was a nice touch.

This hotel has been one of the best I have stayed at during my travels in Europe. From upon entering the lobby we were warmly greeted by the front desk attendant. We were quickly escorted into an open office area where we served some juice and turkish delights to welcome us to Istanbul and the hotel. A lovely young lady showed us a map of the area, highlighting the major attractions, their days and hours of operation as well as provided us with helpful tips for our visit. Overall I was thoroughly impressed with the customer service and hospitality.

Our room was immaculate, Hakim did a great job preparing it for us and even brought our bags to the room. The room was cleaned everyday, and though there was a drain pipe right outside the window that did disturb us at night. We chose not to complain about it, as the overall experience outweighed that minor detail.

The breakfast was also very good, had several options so you were sure to find something you liked. I appreciated that the menu was not standard and that the treats and some of the main dishes did vary day to day.

I would strongly recommend the Ottoman Imperial, if not for the wonderful customer service and hospitality, then purely for the location, as it cannot be beat. The hotel is right across from the Hagia Sophia, minutes from the Cistern, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace & Museum, the Hippodrome as well as easy access to the tram which can take you anywhere in the rest of the city. Overall, I cannot rave about this hotel enough.

We stayed in the Ottoman Imperial for a long weekend. The reception was very friendly and efficient and while our luggage was taken care of the excellent guest relation lady gave us an overview of the city, equipped us with maps, tips and opening timings. Also she reserved us later a restaurant of our choice and directed us to a good shopping center. The room was super clean, very cosy and smart furnished / decorated and the bed was super comfortable. We had a (shared) terrace that also must be very usefule when the temperatures are a bit higher than what we had. The bathroom was just huge, it's Hammam Style and you can play football in there. The hotel manager Serdar is a very sympathic full-blood hotellier and you can feel it everywhere in the property.
The location of the hotel is the best you can find, a small street directly at the Hagia Sophia. You walk 1 minute to the Hagia Sophia or the Citadel Basilica (re-famoused in Dan Brown's Inferno), 3 min to the Blue Mosque, the Topkapi Palace. There are many restaurants and tea places in the same range of 1-3 minutes. In 5 min walk you are in the Grand Basaar or down at the Bosphorus.
