“Perfect Location. Perfect Staff. A fantastic experience in Istanbul.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 July 2013

Adora Hotel is very unique. First impressions are everything with any hotel. Ender and Abdullah are genuinely very nice people. There is a difference between service with a smile and actually taking the time to get to know your guests and make them feel welcome in your home City.

We felt very welcome. The location of the hotel is superb. The old town is literally on the doorstep of the Hotel, whilst the ferries are only a short distance away. This gave us access to the breathtaking mosques and picturesque views of the Bosphorus.

The tram service is literally just around the back of the building. You can get this service to other places of interest.

This trip was great value, the Hotel offered a nice hearty breakfast and the staff were more than helpful at all times. Whether it was for a late cup of tea, directions, ideas or even coming with us on the tram service to show us where to go...nothing was too much for them.

Thank you Ender and Abdullah....and Thank you Adora Hotel for making Istanbul and even better experience than it already was.

Room Tip: Get as high up as you can.

We spent 3 days in Istanbul and Adora was a wonderful choice. Its location is great and there is easy access to the old side of town and half block from the rail service. The staff was great and helpful with everything. Breakfast was good and abundant with different local items.

Unbelieveable friendly staff, clean rooms, nice choice of food for breakfast. Located walking distance from most famous mosques, cisterns and markets, tramway stops and at the doorsteps of Bosforus ferries.
Worth every penny spent, three times.
Will be back for sure.

Good location and service.

Breakfast: Not well cooled and heated food, prone to bacteria contamination. One example was room tempered milk and eggs at ten o'clock (since seven). One possible improvement would be non-sweet cereals, juices instead of sugar fruit drinks, and more whole grain bread.

Rooms: Romantic and with ok space (by Istanbul standards). Some small details disrupted the experience: The air conditioner went off every 20 minutes during the night (and couldn't be fixed), and the window couldn't be closed. We got a new room, though (with a noisy air conditioner instead)

Service was good.

At present, Google maps has two locations for this hotel, one 300 m wrong. The correct one is near "Romantic hotel".

We recommend the restaurant Pasazade 43 m away :-)

As first time visitors to Istanbul, especially during what was inflamed as a most turbulent time, we were met with gracious and genuine hospitality when arriving at Adora.
Ideally located near the tram line and close to all the major sites in that area of Istanbul it is a great base. Restaurants and bars are plentiful, with very little need to do anything but walk, we'll marked directions and locals more than happy to offer directions or just to chat.
The room offered a good bed, air-con, an in room safe and ensuite with good water pressure and ample hot water, albeit compact in size.
There are only 15 rooms, all full when we stayed, with a very cosmopolitan clientele who al cross paths at breakfast. Burhan, works the desk in the day providing great local information and advice. The other staff are just so friendly and honestly wanted us to enjoy our stay but also to make sure we took away a great impression of Turkey, which they succeeded in doing.
Abdullah, working nights, was invaluable to my understanding of all things Turkish, showing great patience explaining the recent troubles and the importance of Country, religion and family in Turkish daily lives with balance and humor.
An exceptional introduction to an exceptional city.

Room Tip: Upper floors, 4th floor and above overlooking the side street preferred.

My girlfriend and I stayed in the hotel Adora for five nights and found it great. It is ideally located if staying in the old part of the city. The hotel manager is very friendly and was always on hand to give information on istanbul. The room was a little small but contained a large comfortable bed; the room was always spotless clean by the time we returned from a hard days sight seeing.
Thanks for a great stay Hotel Adora!
