Only stayed here one night just before returning home. The place is ideal. Location superb, room is big for Istanbul, good ac, windows that open, smallish but fine bathroom . I had a large (queen i think) bed and a single bed for one person. The management was helpful and friendly. Good breakfast

Bed very comfortable and even though my room faces the street (it is a dead end street with the four seasons right across the way, no noise. I did get noise (music ) for a while through the wall. ear p==lugs did the trick there- ot was not excessive nor late into the night, I just needed to sleep by 10pm as previous night was spent on 12 hr bus.

I would highly recommend this hotel. There is a terrace where you can take some great photos too.

What is missing- not much. I would have preferred a phone in the room as that way I can use my calling card from room, and the the shampoo was in packets instead of bottle, no soap in my shower had to use the hand soap which is in a dispenser attached to the wall by the sink.

I would definitely come back here, as sleep was great and the area is ideal- right near the big sites, a 5 minute or so walk from the tram, and tons of restaurants at different price points to choose from within 5 mins of hotel but they are not near enough to cause disturbance.

My rating is based on the price paid and what I expected to get. By the way they let me check into my room at 7am, which was also lovely.

First visit to Istanbul. Family of four (2 adults and 2 children aged 4 and 8). Just returned from a fantastic 4 day / 3 night stay at Med Cezir Hotel and Restaurant where we were welcomed by Erol (owner), his wife, Tony (manager) and all the team. The hotel is perfectly located in Sultanahmet for all the tourist attractions. Staff are amazing. Food was great. Rooms perfect. Location spot on. Service out of this world. One of our best holidays. Thanks for laying on the special birthday surprise for Lucy. The girls are missing the team already. Highly recommend to all looking to stay in Istanbul ....... we will be back. Please feel free to contact us for further information.

A perfect location for all the sights in Old Town plus a darling place with a most helpful and accommodating staff. We had a problem with our flights and the staff allowed us to spread out on a table for hours to work out the issue on the phone. It is a super friendly place, clean and I highly recommend The Med Cezir hotel. They made us feel at home and in good hands!

Pretty nice hotel with a very cool staff.
Nice breakfeast also.
Rooms are very clean and everything is working inside.
The hotel is located at about 200m from the blue mosque, aya sofia and topkapi palace and all the other historical places of Istanbul.
Streets near the hotel are also very dynamic, with bars, restaurants, ...
I recommand.

When we decided to go to Turkey, I was not in favour of going to Istanbul: big city, expensive and hard to get around. How wrong I was! After reading about the many small pensions with roof top terraces within walking distance of the major sights, I thought maybe I could handle a few days there. We checked out the options and found the Med Cezir. We walked everywhere, and I do mean everywhere (personal safety never a concern) could come "home" to decompress, break for happy hour on the terrace or to drop off our parcels on the day we shopped. After a hectic day of standing in line and sightseeing, we wandered back up to the Blue Mosque at 8:45 and went right in with no line up to enjoy a more tranquil experience. On top of all that, the family is very friendly and always available to chat and greet, making sure that you are finding what you need in their city. Breakfast was plentiful and the coffee great. The room was larger than we expected and very comfortable. Best part - sitting on the terrace at dusk and listening to the call to prayer from at least three different mosques.
