I am really surprised about the hotel friendly team members and their kindness and team work spirit. Also the reasonable price compare to other similar hotels .I like the room and comfortable and clean environment.

The basics first: immaculately clean, brand new hotel, thoughtfully designed in a good location. Being close to Kucuk Ayasofiya means that it's out of the noisy hubbab of Sultanahmet, however, still close enough for you to get to the restaurants, bars and museums by a few minute walk - however, you will get a good night's sleep (very comfy beds!) without youth partying under your window. The only thing you have to be aware of is that there is no elevator - however, fairly, this is indicated on the website as well. Plus being a small hotel, it means that there are not too many floors for you to climb, so unless having physical difficulties, this should not be a problem at all.

When it comes to choosing a hotel in Istanbul, one is overwhelmed by the choice. This new little hotel stands out however: it does not only deliver the usual expectations regarding cleanliness, location, etc., but on top of it, it has qualities that many of the competitors lack. It is very clever and cosy at the same time. It feels like a small family hotel where you get just the amount of attention you wish to have and you can immediately feel at home. This hotel is pleasing both esthetically and intellectually. It's been designed with care, attention to the details and the guests now can enjoy the results of (I imagine) lots of brainstorming. One gets the feeling that the owner must love this place and must have been passionate about creating this space. The rooms not only have a number - as usual, but they also relate to various regions in Turkey. The number of the room is translated into a city name by using the licence plate codes. Thus room 31 is named after Hatay province. So while staying in Istanbul, you will make a virtual journey to Eastern Anatolia - and maybe this prompt will one day take you to the actual place.
Hotel rooms can be quite small in Istanbul and feel really crammed. One of the important achievements of Walnut Shell is that the smallish rooms do not feel small. By picking the right furniture and textiles, wallpapers the rooms feel absolutely elegant and spacious enough. The kind of room where you are happy to sit down (sleek armchairs!) to read a book while sipping your tea. Actually, it was fascinating to discover all the clever solutions that in the end create a comfortable space for the traveller. The same goes for the bathroom as well: there is a separate space for all the functions of the bathroom. So here, you will not end up taking a shower over the toilet. (BTW, shower: you need to stay for quite a few days to try all the functions of the high-tech shower system...)
The breakfast is nice, lots of choice and the sweet lady in charge will watch your requests and you will experience the real Turkish hospitality here.
The lovely flowers at the entrance make the hotel a cheerful place to arrive at.

Room Tip: If you don't mind climbing some stairs, you can enjoy the view of Bosphorus from your room.
