“Clean, good service, not for tourist”
Reviewed 16 March 2012

Hotel location is on the Asian side of Istanbul and is relatively isolated. There is a large mall relatively nearby but if looking for ease of access to touristic sites I would suggest another hotel on the European side. That said, due to its relative isolation, the reception staff are extremely helpful with planning trips and also recommending good restaurants.

Clean, spacious rooms with a large bathroom. Even found a little signed and dated sheet under the bed saying that 'they look here too'.

Executive lounge was nice, good selection for breakfast - only slightly limited compared to the paid breakfast buffet in the restaurant downstairs (I tried both).

Internet was expensive. A 24 hours access pass ranged between 17-27 Euros - approximately the price I pay for a whole month at home. Internet is free in the lobby by obtaining 30 minute passes at the lobby. Unfortunately, these worked rarely. I used free internet access 4 times for which I had to get in total almost 15 of these free passes. Only in 2 cases did their logins work. In two other cases I was offered a free internet pass for 1 hr and 24 hrs.

Decent gym with staff to help train if needed. Sauna and steam room - small but they work.

Good points for nice rooms, cleanliness, friendly staff and extras such as sauna and steam room. Bad points for location (if aim is tourism) and internet access.

Stayed in the executive room. Quite a good experience. Location is a bit iffy from where we needed to be but the taxi service was quite prompt.

Helpful staff and a good restaurant. I was there in October 2010

Room Tip: Choose exec room if youre going to use the internet+gym anyway coz it works out cheaper. and the min...

Stayed here a number of times in Jan & Feb 2012. A good hotel without being spectacular. The usual amenities. Everything seems to work as it should. The staff are helpful & knowledgeable. And understand the challenges of being a foreigner in Istanbul.

If you are traveling from the airport in peak hour it can take 2 hours.

Good service, nice rooms. Somewhat expensive (beer or glass of wine around 7 euros). Nice swimming pool, remeber to bring your swimming cap, otherwise you have to pay for one. Wines listed in room service menu didnt exist, so ended up with more expensive one than originally thought. Not for tourist due to long distance to the center.

Great service levels, lovely rooms, excellent food - location close to business if not close to any of the tourist sites in Istanbul. Would recommend highly to any business traveller with meetings at locations on Asian side of Istanbul

Stayed for two nights - amazing hotel. Wonderful rooms, the bathrooms were amazing. The aircon/heating was quite noisy and I couldnt work out how to switch it off. The onsite restaurant was very good, with attentive staff and reasonable prices. The reception staff in particular were very helpful - one lady even checked me in for my flight and printed off my boarding pass. The location didnt seem too safe for a female alone - I certainly wouldnt have gone out alone after dark. Security at the hotel was excellent - it seemed a little over the top at times, but better to be safe than sorry.

This is a nice hotel, with the standard amenities provided by other hotels in this category. Nothing out of the ordinary. The staff is nice and courteous, the food is good. The breakfast spread is great.

I do wish that Internet was freely available throughout the hotel. The internet was so expensive (EUR 22 for a day), with frequent disconnections. I chose to upgrade on my second day to the executive room (EUR 75 extra per day), but here I was getting additional benefits such as use of the lounge, and free minibar and food in the lounge, that made up for the excess charges. The view from the executive lounge balcony is excellent.

Cons: The hotel is not really close to any touristy things one might want to do, and the only shopping centre 'Palladium' is also not within walking distance.
Pros: Service, and the welcome sweets at the reception!

Room Tip: When traveling for work, I would definitely recommend opting for the executive rooms.
