“Nice place in the historic Sultanahmet”
Reviewed 24 May 2014

Apex hotel:
The good things first.
Neat and clean, exclusive location, very close to the main attractions Hagia Sophia and the blue mosque. The reception is very cooperative and is always trying to be helpful. Secluded street and quite and peaceful locality. Breakfast not bad, though the arrangement is quiet basic. Don't expect elaborate stuff, but that's ok considering the price.

The bad things.
The room could do with a little renovation. Room sizes are quite small with even smaller bathrooms. But that shouldn't matter really, coz the beauty is outside. But yes renovation is a must. The wall finishes are quite old. There was one scary experience though. When we came back in the evening after our day out, we were told that our rooms have been shifted due to some leakage problem. We were quite unnerved, because all out stuff had been shifted to this new room without our permission and we had left quite a few stuff unpacked. There was nothing valuable, but this is the last thing that you need to experience on a foreign trip, first day. We had a harrowing time trying to recollect if everything was shifted and that we were missing anything. I would advice the hotel management to refrain doing such things even if they consider it for their clients betterment. We lost a lot of confidence due to this one act.

We had a large room, with a functional toilet with hot water. I only paid 30 euro a night on booking.com. Room was quite pretty and beds were comfortable.

Location and view was fantastic.

Breakfast spread was basic. Cheese, olives, coffee and tea and toast. The view from the restaurant was amazing!

Standard hotel in sultanahmet. Very good location, price is absolutely okay. Friendly staff. Rooms are big and comfortable. Cleanliness could be more better. But otherwise priceworthy. I paid 200 chf = ca.160 euro for 4 nights, double room with couple bed.

blinds fall down just when we arrived it could hurt my mom but she was lucky .
breakfast is very basic and they even has no oil !! , the best thing about it is it near to Sultanahmed

We moved to this hotel after our previous hotel proved to be in an area we did not feel comfortable in.

This little hotel was perfect for two ladies travelling alone. We were within a few yards of all the historical sites in Sultanahmet and surrounded by some good and reasonably priced restaurants.

The rooms were a little small but very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was served on the roof terrace and was very reasonable. The staff were polite, considerate and very helpful in organising transfers to the airport. It is about a five minute walk to the tram which is cheap and easy to use.

Lovely little hotel and reasonably priced for the city centre.

3 months ago I stayed in this lovely hotel. It was absolutely prefect to stay in this hotel. Rooms are so comfortable and clean. Breakfast on the terrace aganist to Bosporus is unique and hotel is next to city center. Thanks to helpful and genial receptionists, especially Nijat. Everything was excellent. I don't want write anymore, just one more thing, if you travel Istanbul, certainly you must stay at APEX HOTEL.

Room Tip: don't mind about rooms, hotel is so comfortable
