I checked the tripadvise app in my iPad and found this restaurant has very good reviews. It is truly the best out of all the restaurant we tried in Istanbul. The restaurant is small boutique restaurant but is is very cozy, food was marvelous (Turkish gourmet food) and the service was exellent. Such a freindly atmosphere and the price was really resonable. All the staffs were very courteous and service was very proffessionally rendered. The restaurant has very nice view and night time view was marvelous. deserts were good and they have very good selection of Turkish wine. Now I know that Turkey produces such a great drop. I will come back again and tell all my friends about it. It is very closed to Blue Mosque and area is very good for shopping also. It is located in the top of Orient Express hotel.

Imbat is a very popular restaurant at night, and deservedly so. You need to make a reservation to have any hope of a table.

It is on the top floor of the Orient Express Hotel, with glass windows looking out on the lights of Istanbul. The food and service were exceptional.

We liked it so much that we dined there twice in four days.

On our first visit, a delicious appetiser and different types of bread rolls came gratis. We shared a patty of roasted eggplant, Aegean herbs and goat cheese (12 TL); followed by mains of grilled sea bass served with creamy spinach and avocado-potato salad (29 TL) and grilled chicken fillets, pistachio, and apple sauce served with sauteed spinach (20 TL). With a generous glass of wine each and sparkling mineral water, the bill was only 90 TL.

On our second visit, an appetiser and bread appeared again. The servings of mains are so generous, that we chose only one dish each: the seafood medley of pan fried prawn, monkfish and salmon with anise sauce served on sauteed greens (27 TL) and the baked leg of lamb marinated with aegean herbs served on a roasted eggplant and goat cheese sauce (27 TL).

With three glasses of wine, and a litre of San Pellegrino, the bill was 83 TL.

Again, faultless food and service at extremely reasonable prices.

Very highly recommended!

Interesting menu and lots of local foods to try. Awesome view over the area towards the Bosphorus bridge. Make sure to book or you will missout.

We arrived at our hotel in the early afternoon and for convenience had lunch in its rooftop restaurant. What a great surprise. Fabulous food and lovely staff, made our first impressions of Istanbul very favourable.

Our last dinner in the city was also here. After a late return from a day trip, our table was still available at 10.10pm (the kitchen closes at 10.30) and meal was again superb, unhurried and very different from the lunch earlier in the week. The staff as always, couldn't be more helpful. We certainly weren't made to feel we must hurry along. A great experience in its own right

When you step into the restaurant, the view is breathtaking. The service is top-notch, even despite the fact we were there with two small children. A truly exciting atmosphere. The food they served the kids was delicious, but the rest of the food was pretty bland, honestly. We ordered fish soup, the artichoke appetizer, the mixed grill, and the beef/artichoke kebab. Also, the house wine was BAD. I did manage to get it down, but only by holding my breath for each sip.
