Situated very near to Beyazit market (Beyazit Mosque, Grand Bazaar), and at 15 minutes walk to Hippodrome (where are St Sophia Museum, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace), this recent renovated hotel join all conditions to meet the expectations of the tourists. The staff is friendly and useful (a special appreciation for the manager), everything is very clean. The breakfast is variate and very good. At the end of the stay – the possibility to be transferred to airport with a shuttle at a cheap price (10 euros per person).

Room Tip: Higher floors have less A/C unit noise

Stayed there for nine nights. What a great location: 5 minutes walk to the suburb train to reach all sites of the old city, though you can reach them by walking as well. 10 minutes walk to the tram for Galata and Kambatas. 10 minutes for the Great Bazar. 5 minutes for Hamam Kadirga (Liman Cad. 127). Right around a good beerhouse. The quarter Kumkapi offers shops without tourist stuff. The restaurants in 2 min. reach are not overwhelming, but go to the harbour across Kennedy Cad., and you find good fish restaurants like Havuzbasi in 5 min. distance.
The hotel is clean, the BF is what you expect in a 3-Star Turkish Hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was tiny and had not much place to stow things, leave them in your suitcase, and you're fine. TV (but who needs that when visiting Istanbul, a small fridge, a little cubic table. The walls are not really isolating from the neighbour's noises. Still, when you are asleep, the others are as well. Lights are a bit dim, especially where the "wardrobe" with safe is. Would I go therre again? Yes, certainly.

The hotel is very close to Kumkapi station and its restaurants and also in a walking distance to Beyazit Mosque & Grand Bazar, so that the location is good for sightseeing and public transportation. The staff is very friendly and the rooms were clean and quite silent, even though not very spacious.

Ok everyone, for 50 euros, what do you expect in a city like Istanbul?

The staff was warm, the rooms decently clean (not great), the AC worked, the bfast was basic, and there was an open PC for browsing. The grand bazaar is a 10 min (uphill) walk, which is also where the trams and buses run. So, decent location. In the nights, the Kumkapi fish restaurants are bustling just a block away with live music. Touristy, but what the heck, you are a tourist here!

The only issue I had was that the manager was too shrewd about money - everything had a price attached, with no discounts for mistakes made. For example, the elevator was not working for 2 days of our stay and we were on the 5th floor. We politely asked for some compensation for this. He started listing the fact that we had checked in 2 hours early, and were checking out an hour late (in a 6 day stay!), and since he wasn't charging us for all this, he would not be able to give a discount. Sigh. We didn't feel like fussing about it, but did feel we were justified in some compensation for climbing those stairs.

One tip: Better hotels can be found up the street if you are willing to spend an extra 20 euros a night.

I liked this hotel very much. It’s in a walking distance to main attractions of Istanbul. This is definitely NOT a tourist area, just a real Istanbul with it’s hardworking people. Nearby streets are not great however it’s also close to “100 restaurants district”. As on budget hotel rooms were spacious and staff altitude was exceptional. Bathroom was recently renovated and clean. Breakfasts in a buffet style, but on request eggs, Turkish coffee or tee prepared. I’d recommend this hotel to budget travellers with sightseenig in mind, who want experience real Instanbul.

After reading the reviews I decided that I can disregard the negative ones. That was my mistake!
The only positive thing in the hotel is the staff. They were nice and helpful. Welcome coffee/tea was offered on arrival. When asked for a map we were told that it is not for free and were charged 5 TL. Just go to the Tourist info centre and will get map for free.
Location was pretty OK, though not close to the public transport connections. 5 min walk to Kapalicarsi, where actually is the closest tram station; 15 min to Aya Sofia and Blue Mosque.
The rooms are small, but not that was the biggest issue. The furniture is very old, but repainted recently, bathroom seems to be renovated recently, but there is mold on the tile filling; shower cabin was additionally fixed which made it very incontinent, though it was new; the tap was not fixed in toward the sink and it was moving every time when using it, the toilet was very old and unclean. In general the bathroom is very badly maintained. We booked That is the feedback for 302 double bedroom, 304 twin bedroom was looking to the staircase, 304 triple room was the most decent among the three rooms that we had.
The mattresses were with stains. The linens were changed on the third day.
