Jeff the owner was so friendly and helpful. The hotel is is a great location in the middle of the city. Some of the rooms even overlooked the storks on the aquaduct (not ours though). Rooms were spacious and even had a proper shower which is sometimes hard to find in Turkey. The food at the restaurant was some of the best we've had in Turkey, and it was very reasonably priced! Good place to base yourself for tours to Pamukkale and Ephesus. Great place, will stay again if ever back in Selcuk.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the storks

I went to selcuk in march to see ephesus and do my pilgrimage at virgin marys grave up on the mountain in Selcuk. Its a very beauitifull area and if you are in to sight seeing and history its probably the best area to visit. Selcuk is a very nice small town. Its basically the center to everywhere important to see in the area. There is a small village up on the mountain called sirince. Which is a very nice place too see. You can visit 2 old greek churches up there and the village has plenty of old greek houses. Also dont forget to buy yourself some home made wine. Selcuk also has a very nice saturday market where you can bag yourself plenty of bargains. Wallabies hotel is right in the center of the city which is close by to everywhere. The rooms are clean and hot water runs all the time. The food in the restaurant is fresh and tasty, also very fairly priced. Free internet which is great. So all fairness my stay at wallabies was very enjoyable stay. Thanks to all the staff.

Stayed at Wallabies with 5 friends last August had a very pleasent 5 nights. The owner Mehmet picked us up from the bus station as we let him know before we were coming. The rooms were basic but very clean and had aircondition def needed at that time. We stayed at rooms 406, 405 and 404 they had beautfiul stork nest views , once in a life time experience that was. During our stay we ate at the hotel restauran a couple of evenings outside next to the pool. It was a very nice ambience coupled with great traditional Turkish food; apparently the chef was Mehmet's mother :) the hotel has a concierge service "Mehmet" helped us out with our other arrangements like taxi to Ephesus and to the beach and bus tickets to Pammukkale without any charge. Nice friendly family budget hotel but offer much more then you expect! Well recommended!

We stayed a few nights here while visiting Ephesus. We were greeted by Jeff - the owner - a very friendly man, proud of his hotel and adjoining restaurant. The rooms were a little dated in style (but that is about to change as he plans a revamp of the whole hotel) but spotlessly clean and a decent size. Ours looked out over the nesting storks and aquaduct - a beautiful view. As we arrived in the afternoon the complimentary shuttle to Ephesus had already left, but Jeff didn't hesitate in calling his sister (the lovely Lilly) to come in the minibus and take us there (only a 5 min drive).
We had dinner at his restaurant that night which was delicious traditional style cooking and boasted the best view of all the restaurants - under the ancient aquaduct beside a lovely fountain on a terrace.
Breakfast was a buffet of fruit, bread, cheeses, salad stuff, eggs etc.
The other drawcard for the hotel is the location, located right in the market area you can walk out of the front door and through restaurants, cafes, shops and also the bustling local market.
For the cost of the rooms, this hotel is well worth it for a stay in Selcuk and easy access to Ephesus.

This hotel is now called Wallabies Victoria. It is very old and dillapidated. Room was very basic and old but reasonably clean. Owner was friendly but very pushy in selling you all kinds of things such as dinner in the hotel. To be fair, the dinner was worth it. However, he tried all kinds of tricks to make you order more and more. He also tried all kinds of tricks to attract customers, such as displaying too-nice pictures of the hotel rooms and even displaying a swimming pool. Free all-day Internet was the best feature of this place. Still I would pay just a bit more to have a newer and more comfortable place. Breakfast was reasonable. The owner should upgrade the place and practise more honesty.

We arrived at the Wallabies Hotel after an exhausting Anzac Day and what a relief! We were pıcked up from the bus station at an ungodly hour and welcomed by all the family. The owners carried our very heavy packs up to our room and insisted we sleep and sort out all the admin stuff in the morning. After a late breakfast they gave us a free transfer to Ephesus and helped us organise our bus tickets and accomodation for the next leg of our journey. Wallabies was so friendly and helpful - we just couldnt thank them enough!
