“Beautiful and great location”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

A beautiful hotel with lovely air conditioned rooms! Great location. When we were in Selcuk there was a fantastic open market with fresh fruit, spices, olives and cheese right across the street. Great prices and so good!!
I would stay at the Nazhan Hotel again without question. Very friendly owner who went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and made great suggestions about where to go for dinner.

The proprietors at the Nazhan Hotel have a serene character that perfectly matches the awe-inspiring ruins across of St. John's Church just across the street from the hotel. The simple historical power of staying a block away from where St. John wrote his gospels should be enough to convince any traveler, and the view from the ruins, out over the valley that leads to the Aegean is like a more beautiful version of Sonoma, California. The small, open air courtyard where an exquisite breakfast is served, along with the incredible herbal soaps made this the perfect place to start and end a day exploring the ruins of Ephesus. The rooms are small and simple, but perfectly suited to the place. We had a wonderful time here.

We stayed for 3 nights in this very pretty and charming inn. Clean, comfortable with good wifi and good breakfast. Having breakfast in their pretty garden is such a treat. Good location. Really quite a gem, and we loved our stay. The owner, Cemil, is very friendly and hospitable, and he has quite a history - he was on a government scholar, then took part in Turkish politics where he previously met the elder George Bush, and is a celebrity chef in Turkey. Do take time to get to know him! He also gave good recommendations for a local restaurant at reasonable prices - turns out to be the best food we had in Turkey for all 10 days.

We had a really nice stay in this hotel. They were very welcoming and helpful, recommending that we went to Ephesus on the day we arrived as it may rain the next day. It is basic, but clean and comfortable. We had to the top room and the roof terrace was glorious in the evening. Breakfast was good.Would recommend.

Great location, fabulously helpful and personable staff. Room small but clean and comfortable, with the twin beds strategically positioned to yield maximum privacy. Advice on where to eat and how to get around sounder than sound. We loved our stay!

My wife and I stayed here for two nights while visiting Ephesus. Our room was small but comfortable. This is not a luxurious hotel but instead a simple family run inn. We opted for the home cooked dinner one night which was a vegetable soup, a green bean salad, sautéed chicken and rice. Extremely good basic food. Same with breakfast. The location is quite central right across the street from a Byzentine aqueduct and close to the Basilica of St John. If I was back in Selcuk I'd stay here again.

This place is in a great location as it is walking distance to the otogar, St. John's cafe which we enjoyed, and a few nearby ruins. It
has wonderful charm - the old Greek style house has small but cosy rooms, which are spotless, well furnished and decorated. Owners are very friendly and keen to help with anything. Breakfast was very good - selection of olives, cheeses, salad, jam, honey, and bread, with eggs and tea/coffee.
Would have rated it 5, if not for the price which could have been a bit more competitive (we paid 204TL for the night).
