We took the Mediterannean Cruise on Navigator of the Seas with ports of call in Rome, Sicily, Athens, Ephesus, Turkey and Crete on 10-6-13, we booked our tours thru a London company called Cruising Excursions and had fantastic service with this company. They met all our expectations for the tours. We did a 3 day pkg. tour in Sicily, Athens and Ephesus. All the tour guides were very informative and met us at each port on time and returned us in plenty of time for departure. The price was better than we had found in any excursion companies we checked out and going with a 3 day pkg. deal we received a better price. Total for one person came to about $188.00. We had an 8 hr. tour in Sicily, 6 hr's in Athens and 6 Hrs. in Kusadasi (Turkey) far better than the price you could get on the ship. I highly recommend this company.

We did a tour with SHORE EXCURSIONS and were extremely pleased with the guide, conduct of the tour, information and the amount of time spent in Ephesus. The guide was well informed, kept the group together, put us in areas where she could be heard by all of us and prevented as much of the "hustling" as possible. Our only problem with the tour was the carpet weaving demonstration at the end; too much time, too much hustle, too much sales pitch.
Excellent tour, just skip the carpet weaving demonstration !!!

This was an excellent tour of Ephesus. There were four of us and we were pick up at the dock of our cruise ship. Our guide was Sidal. She was very friendly, her English was good and she had us laughing in no time. We had a professional driver and a comfortable, air-conditioned, new-model van.All enterance fees were included and taken care of by Sidal. There was no waiting in line. Sidal knew all the historical facts about Mary's House and the Ancient Ruins of Ephesus and kept us interested the whole time. She also took us to a carpet factory school. We didn't think that we wanted to go there but it was very interesting and we were glad that it was included. We saw beautiful carpets and there was no pressure to buy.Lunch was included with the tour and we enjoyed an outdoor home-style meal with Sidal. The setting was pretty and relaxing and the food was tasty. We all ate well and enjoyed the break from touring. I certainly would recommend this tour company and we felt that we got great value for the cost which was less expensive than the tours offered by the Cruise line..

This tour company is tops. We really enjoyed our day and had no complaints. Our Guide was Canan Tunckanat. Ask for her; She is excellent. By the time we got to lunch, we had a new friend.
Highly recommend this one.

We booked our Ephesus tour from AGO travel in Marmaris. The first aspect about being in Marmaris is that the coach journey is about 3 hours or so... So en route we stopped for breakfast, the obligatory stop at the Turkish Delight factory and lunch... We visited Virgin Mary's house which was very quiet and peaceful then went back down to Ephesus itself... We spent about 2 hours in Ephesus and was very impressed by the tour and the history of the area. The work to excavate is still ongoing and will be ongoing for many years to come - so the areas you can walk around will expand all of the time. After this was the 3 hour journey back to Marmaris... But despite the journey times making this a long day I was blown away by Ephesus and the ongoing work here... This more than made up for the long journey and was to become the highlight of our holiday! If you enjoy your history you cannot fail to be in awe of Ephesus and the ongoing archaeological work here...
