“Simple and Nice!”
Reviewed 9 September 2013

This will most likely be your first stop on the tour of Ephesus. Its is pretty impressive at first but once you take the path down to the Library and then the theater, this is just blown away in the water. Still pretty neat to investigate and take a few pics.

The Odeion was used as a sort of courthouse and a place to discuss politics and issues, not as a theater. Much smaller than the great amphitheater but still a nice building in great condition.

“Great...until you see the Grand Theatre!”
Reviewed 26 July 2013

This is at the start of the walk through the City and seems like an amazing site...which it is on it's own. Council meeting were held here which makes this in important part of the CIty - however at the end of the street is the most amazing Grand Theatre which makes this look like a baby

“The smaller of the Theatres”
Reviewed 30 June 2013

As you come into the city of Ephesus, this is one of the first structures that you will see. As it was in the "State Agora", it was apparently used as a government house and not theatre in the traditional sense. Quite impressive, and well preserved.

“Azamazing evening at the Odeion”
Reviewed 14 June 2013

We recently visited Ephesus while sailing the Azamara Journey. Each cruise Azamara includes a "Azamazing" event which is limited to the cruise ship guests. Our cruises event was a orchestral concert and dining at the Odeion. What a great experience to be able to watch a concert in this stadium. The arena was a perfect size for our relatively small group. To think that something this old could still be suitable for an event is amazing. A side note, which any traveller to Ephesus will realize, there are a lot of stray cats and dogs in the area. Anyway, if you have a chance to cruise to Ephesus, I encourage you to consider Azamara and with any luck you can have an Azamazing experience in Ephesus and experience the Odeion like few others get a chance to.
