Jimmy's Place is located very close to the bus station so you can see why this place is on to a winner. The room was basic, but clean and the staff friendly and good value. Even though it was one of one more basic places I stayed during my visit to Turkey, it was the only hotel with a sink plug,

I stayed at Jimmy's for 2 nights in a deluxe room with balcony. The room was very spacious and the bathroom very big and nicely decorated. It was directly opposite the cami but the double glazed windows kept the noise out. Staff were very nice and the air conditioning in my room worked well. It's located very close to the town otogar (bus station) and you walk 5 minutes behind it to find. The staff can recommend a local hairdresser if you need some pampering at a very reasonable price.

The only thing that wasn't that nice but obviously was done one day for a reason was the smell of moth balls in the reception area). The bed mattress also was pretty hard. In Turkey this is fairly normal but that mattress seemed harder than others I have slept on here.

Room Tip: 310 was my room.

jimmy is ideally situated in selcuk for many reasons. First because from Selcuk you can visit most of the egean cost. Second because you can also really be in the center of town near the big Saturday market and in a quiet place. Not far from the otogar (one minute away) and not far from the station, this hotel also has an outdoor swimming pool. This hotel is very well decorated, and the two managers Alex and Jimmy are welcoming you in a lovely way, they actually make you feel really welcome. Theyu speak perfect English. Their rooms really have hot water and are very clean. The breakfast is a buffet and contains a lot of nice and varied foods among which some fruit and filter coffee. They also posess an extensive library of travel books. When you stay there, you feel respected and after the horrible place we had experienced before we were delighted to stay there for a 4 days stay at a very convenient price. Don t hesitate if you are in Selcuk just go there.

There was located in center of Selcuk. I was satisfactory in every way. Service, price, staff, cleanness, breakfast was good. Selcuk's accomadation was good than another area's one, I think.

This was our second stay at Jimmy's Place - last time two years ago. We had a family room with four single beds, and the room was a good size - the bathroom was huge. We found the staff to be very helpful, and we parked outside on the road which was fine. There isn't a restaurant on the site, so we ate out in the town for dinner. Breakfast was OK. Although we drove to the hotel, we caught the Dolmus to Ephesus, which we felt was easier, and it was cheap.

We spent only one nigth in our visit to Ephesus.
The rooms were OK (clean and big) but the quality of the breakfast could be better (low quality of served products).
The staff could be nicer with the guests, specially one of them.
There is a lot of paper information in the reception for visiting the surrondings and the rest of Turkey that can be helpful.

My family stayed here for 6 nights after 6 nights in a posh hotel in Istanbul. Obviously, you don't expect the same kind of accommodation in a town of 30,000 as one of 12 million, when the rooms were 40% of the price of my Istanbul apartment,

We had a 4 bed deluxe room in the front of the hotel. The noise of the mosque was lessened by double-glazing (and didn't wake us up, although frankly, if you find the 5 calls to prayer daily to be intrusive you probably shouldn't visit Turkey).

The room was fine, cleaned daily, air conditioned and had a big clean bathroom. The location was brilliant - a 5 minute walk to the bus station, from which it was 3 TL to Ephesus (5 mins) on the dolmus, and 15 mins to the beautiful Pamucak beach which has white sands and wasn't even crowded on the first day of Eid, and which has shallow water so is very safe for kids.

The owners were very helpful. I called to arrange a taxi from Izmir airport to Selcuk (about 45 mins) and was told that it would be 50 Euro, but not to bother as Onur Air had a free shuttle from the airport (this was hard to find, but they did so the 4 of us were brought to Selcuk for free). Ahmet's recommendation for Pamucak beach (Citak beach cafe) was very good - reasonably priced snacks and drinks, £5 day to use their beach umbrellas and sunbeds and, on leaving, the owner gave free tea and phoned the dolmus driver to pick us up. (We looked at the swimming pool which looked a bit folorn outside their old building, but never used it; why would you when the beauty of Pamucak beach is 10 mins away?)

Ahmet also recommended his barber who gave me a proper Turkish shave for less than other barbers had quoted me (5 TL).

The only trivial complaint I'd make is that the breakfast buffet (which was otherwise simple but filling and fresh) had the weakest coffee I've ever tasted. Put some more coffee grounds in there, Ahmet!

We'd stay again.
