Had a great experience. Clean and superb facility. The staff and the family who owned the hotel are nice and helpful. They will help you in the best way they can. Within walking distance to many great places. Even from train and bus stations.

The location of the hotel was on a small street that looked a little run down. No fault of the hotel. The room was clean and well decorated but the bathroom a little small. Stayed there a few nights and slept well as the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good with a variety of items standard to a Turkish breakfast. The staff was excellent. There was fresh squeezed oj for us in the morning. The lady was very helpful in giving us suggestions and directions to different tourist sites. The owners son always had a smile on his face as he helped us with our bags or offered us Turkish tea after a long weary days trek. I definitely enjoyed my stay there but the price seemed a bit pr icey. Although I have no comparison to other locations and my girlfriend had done the booking. Overall a good place to stay.

This fabulous little hotel is a peaceful haven in which to relax after a busy day viewing the nearby sights at Ephesus. It is also within easy distance of many other historic sites, so an excellent base. The staff are welcoming, cheerful and nothing is too much trouble. A great example of Turkish hospitality. Breakfasts are delicious in a delightful breakfast room, overlooking a leafy courtyard and pool. Just 5 minutes into the centre of Selcuk, which in May, is fragrant with jasmine on arches everywhere. Nice town, good restaurants, and a fabulous museum of treasures from Ephesus. Our bedroom is charmingly furnished, spotlessly clean. St Johns Hotel is thoroughly recommended and reasonably priced.

Room Tip: On garden side, away from road, is nice and quiet

Simply have to agree with all the things said on other reviews. Staff was so genuinely friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself is cozy and quaint - a real B&B feel. Also, Simgay the Persian cat was a great little dude to have around. Can't suppose there is a better option for the weary traveller in Selcuk than St. John.

Room Tip: Rooms are apparently all quite similar so no need to be selective. North facing rooms have view of the castle, which is nice.
