This lovely hotel found it's way into my life when I got off the bus in Selcuk. I arrived in Selcuk with no plans on where to stay or what to do. I was told in Istanbul that this was a central gateway to all worthwhile sightseeing locations in Turkey. They were right about that, this place was the outlet to everything along the gorgeous coast. Anyways, I jumped off the bus and found a gentlemen named Tom, waiting for his guests who were arriving shortly after me. Tom had a Hotel which was a three minute walk away from the bus station located in the heart of Selcuk. I talked to him for a few minutes and decided I would give his hotel a shot. I was very impressed with his hospitality and the cleanliness of the hotel. The hotel seemed to tailor to all demographics and had an extremely friendly and social atmosphere to it. Along with being helpful in Selcuk Tom was also able to help me find things to do outside of Selcuk, like a day trip in Ephesus and Pamukkale. Both of which I highly recommend. I give this place a 10 out of 10 and would recommend it to any guest looking to feel welcome and at home in a distant land.

Room Tip: Dorms are available, but so are private rooms.

Artemis wasn't my first choice in Selcuk but turned out to be an excellent stay. I stayed in a dorm room with ensuite bathroom. Everything was very clean, service was very good, breakfast was the best I have had in 8 days in Turkey. Tom was very helpful but not in my face. Staff offered extra tea when I was in the sitting area with my computer. The flight up to the 3rd floor (which is actually the 4th) was either great exercise or a pain in the butt depending on your point of view - I didn't mind it...Close to a mosque but in Turkey one is always close to a mosque. And a 50 minute walk to Epheseus if thats what you would like...
Selcuk is a great little town and Artemis is right between the lovely train station and the bus station - less than a 5 minute walk to either. All in all very very good....

The hotel is centrally located, a relatively short walk from the bus station. I was grateful for assistance on arrival, with Tom arranging two tours for me for my short 2-night stay and assisting with sites to see in Selcuk (a walk to see the ruins of St Johns Basilica and the nearby mosque). He arranged a day tour to Pamukkale (an unexpected bonus - a long day in the minibus but spectacular scenery at the white terraces and the ruined city of Hierapolis) and a day's tour of Ephesus. The room is budget priced, but clean, reasonably comfortable, and has air-conditioner; no outlook as next building under construction but no additional noise. Access by stairs only. Breakfast was good.

Room Tip: If not comfortable with stairs request a room on 1st floor.
