The hotel located next to the marina, which is good since it is close to city center and the beach. If you plan to came by car, better come as early as you can, the parking is very small. The stuff was generaly ok. One time we asked for "DO NOT DISTURB" sign, and they told us they don't have any, and few minutes later I saw some on othe doors. Also we asked that no one will come to our room for cleaning, but still they came. There wasn't eneough towels in the room, and if you want a pool towel, to ask for it one time isn't enough. In some areas there is a very bad smell. The food is good. Walls are thin.

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room, ask for a room as far from the pool as you can.

Nice place since it's been not very expensive but very comfortable to stay with a pool and a place to lay on sun near it. The rooms are 2 rooms in a house for 2 different families. In a room tv, bath, Tea set with teapot clean towels. I stayed in a room for 2 with a big double bed. In general the price and the hotel match each other. The hotel is not bad but also not luxury.

The hotel is not just called "village", it in fact is a small village of cottages, each hosting 4 rooms (doors opening to different sides). Every now and then there are tables and benches placed between the cottages, as well as various trees so the whole area surrounding the cottages is shaded.
In the middle of the village there's a pool, divided into three sections (one for infants, very shallow and with sun shade, the second one is for kids, and the third one for adults).
Next to the pool there's an entrance to the main building with reception, lobby and hotel restaurant. Theres free Wi-Fi in the lobby.

We've stayed at Astral Village during Yom Kippur (25/9-27/9 2012)

Hotel was at full capacity.
First thing we noticed - parking space is lacking (there was not enough parking space for everyone, i barely squeezed the car in). The parking "lot" is actually a road surrounding the village inside the fence, with parking slots marked on its side.

The day we checked in it was Yom Kippur Eve, and the dinner ended right before we checked in. The stuff managed to get us some food in take-out trays, but it's not the same as eating in the hotel restaurant.

Once we got to the rooms, we found they were not even ventilated prior to our visit (there was some bad smell in the rooms, probably coming from water drain). I would expect a 4-star hotel to have the rooms cleaned and properly ventilated the same day of check-in.
The rooms are very small, the double bed takes most of the space in the room, so an add-on bed we had for our kid could barely fit and the space we had left to walk around was close to none.
Rooms are equipped with an old (tube) TV, a (very small) refrigerator, wardrobe, small personal safe inside it, writing desk (which we could not even use because there was not enough space with the add-on bed) and an air conditioner.
Theres also a kettle in the room, and when we got there, there were a few tea bags and some coffee.

The hotel has half-board mills (breakfast + dinner).
The food at hotel restaurant is quite good, both breakfast and dinner.
Bummer: they don't serve any hot beverages during dinner :( We used tea/coffee in the rooms, but we only had enough for one evening and the stock was not refilled afterwards (another -1 for rooms...)

Overall:
Rooms are quite poor for a 4-star hotel, so i would say it should have 3 stars.
Food is good.
Location is good. (~750 meters from the beach)
Free internet (in the lobby)
Pool is okay.
Good value for the money.

Room Tip: There's free Wi-Fi in the lobby, but not in the rooms. Might wanna try to get a room near main...

If you are looking for cheep hotel/Hostel for sleeping purpose this place can be good as it is close to the beach and to the promenade. We looked for a place to relax in a quiet place, enjoy the breakfast and the swiming pool or other activities in the hotel and all was very poor (execpt of the breakfast which was nice but too noisy and massy).
The swimming pool was very cold even it was written that it being warmed up (when we asked about it in the place we got different and unreliable answers).
Rooms are small and dense and especially if you have one children with you!!
Parking is limited and if you dont have a place inside - you should park in payment.

Room Tip: If you more than a couple - check if it will be convinence using single room

After a very busy work period we needed a few days' R&R and with a really good post-Passover coupon offer, we went for 2 nights during the quiet season when most kids are back at school. The rooms are all on ground level adjacent to the pool - some closer, some a bit further away & quieter. Luckily, we had one of the latter but still only a few steps from the pool.

ROOM: Not that big but just fine for our needs - comfy beds, adequate storage space (tho not that much for hanging if you stay more than a few days) and even a little kitchenette and coffee supplies, and everything is clean and tidy. NOTE: They don't supply individual soaps & shampoos (usually a souvenir of a hotel stay) but instead have dispensers of both.

NOTE TO MANAGEMENT: One annoying thing was - no pen/pad in the room. The hotel is one of a 5-hotel Astral chain in Eilat so providing imprinted pens & pads w/the hotel chain logo would be great advertising & very convenient for guests. When I asked at the front desk for paper, they gave me 2 memo-cube-sized pieces of paper!

AMENITIES: The pool is beautiful and my most favorite part are the big 'beds' alongside, w/shaded tops, towel-padded and w/bolsters for convenient sitting & reading. Poolside service for drinks/snacks would've made this a dream situation for me, but instead I had to order our own food from the snack bar (cash only, could not charge to our room) and waited more than 15 mins (!) for a portion (generous size, I'll admit) of French fries!
They have entertainment each evening - we enjoyed a well done 'world tour' of dancing/singing by the 6 talented members of the entertainment troupe. There is no fitness center or spa.

LOCATION: Hotel is on the far side of the lagoons, a leisurely 15-20 min walk to the main hotel & shopping strip, a 16-25 NIS taxi ride to the big shopping mall (definitely walkable as well, about 1/2 hr). Its being off the main drag also means the area is quieter, esp at night.

FOOD: Food was plentiful, varied and good. Lots of fresh veggies, several hot mains & side dishes and a good selection of desserts that, unfortuntely, looked better than most of them actually tasted. Dinner includes one station where they make things to order - one nite was stir-fried pasta w/additions and different sauces, the other was chicken or chopped meat & a variety of veggies in a laffa (like a tortilla), to order, in addition to the other food. The only inconvenience is that because the many stations of food (5-6) are spread out in the dining area, the tables and traffic are all very close together, making it difficult to negotiate around food stations and between tables and other guests while juggling plates of hot food and cups of hot coffee.

On the whole, tho, a pleasant and relaxing stay - highly recommended, esp in the off season when there are not that many kids and big groups around.

Room Tip: Best to ask for a room away from the pool - will be quieter and still only a few steps away from the...

We stayed there 2+2 children for a week. Unfortunatlly, the hotel was fully booked with annoying people who ruined our vacation. They kept making noise all around the clock 24/7, with loud music and children running wet all over the place making lots of noise and mess.

The hotel itself is very simple, the rooms have a 140x190 bed, very old shower with very old facilities, simple and not well preserved.

The pools are very nice, but not heated as the website stated. However, the fact that the rooms are located around the pool make it very easy with the children...

The restaurant is very good, the breakfast is rich and dinner was very tasty.

After all, it was very worth money but the other guest ruined the fun...
