“Hotel near to the bus stop in Eilat....”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 March 2013

We were on a months tour of Egypt, Israel and Jordan, so were looking for small, friendly hotels near the bus stops...as we were travelling by bus..This fitted the description, about 300 metres from the bus stop, we found a very nice, clean hotel, with very helpful reception staff and a decent breakfast with great coffee....what more can you ask for. The room had a flat screen tv, and also a fridge and kettle for tea or coffee making...all in all just what we were looking for...oh yes must not forge free wifi....

Walking distance to the Egged bus station. We had a nice quiet basement room which was large, clean with a kitchen, full size refrigerator and the beds were comfortable. The wi-fi worked well. Our room had a bomb resistant door which is comforting. Several convenience stores are close by. The breakfast was included and had a decent variety of bread, cereals and drinks. The staff was very helpful. We stayed two nights and booked the second night from the hotel staff who gave us a better rate than the first night which we booked through booking.com.

After staying in a bad hotel in Eilat, the Blue Moon was a welcome surprise. The rooms were clean and altho we only had a shower, there was a refrigerater and FREE WI FI. They also had a computer downstairs that you could use. There are several balconies which makes it easy for smokers and some of the views are great. Its a 2 min. walk to the bus station. The staff speaks english, is very friendly and the breakfast was delicious, The rate was a pleasant surprise too!

Clean, affordable hotel -- great for a night on your way to and from Jordan. Hotel provides a decent breakfast, basic rooms, views of the Red Sea and jordan from the balcony and free parking. Staff very friendly and opinionated.

It's a cute beach hotel a bit off the beaten path. The free breakfast was modest but the hotel price is very affordable, especially if you're on a budget or want to save money on one leg of a longer trip. The staff is the best. We booked one night at Petra in Jordan and one night in Eilat. At the last minute we had to switch our bookings because the Jordan side of the Rabin Border was closed for a Muslim Holiday. Without a GPS it was tricky finding the Blue Hotel, no one knew where it was at the bigger hotels, but with a few phone calls to Natalie at the front desk we arrived shortly after night fall. It's on a dead end street in a small, tricky section of budget and hostel hotels, where the Blue Hotel is by far the nicest. We were told it’s not safe to walk at night, a lot of out of work immigrants were apparent, but our car was fine parked in front and the hotel door was kept open late. With last minute changes to our itinerary Natalie was instrumental in helping me call our booking agent and getting the dates changed for both hotels without additional charge. It was frustrating with language differences and international calls, but Natalie was terrific. We were tired after our five hour drive down from Jerusalem. I wanted a nice steak dinner and Natalie suggested Casa Do Brasil Restaurant a few blocks away and gave us a 10% discount coupon. It was one of our best meals during our two week trip and very affordable. Rooms are modest and clean. There is a nice outdoor lounge area to relax in on the ground floor and free internet access. We had a couple of hours the next morning before heading back to the border so Natalie again (she was still there) gave us good advice on which beach was best; she suggested the south beach which is less touristy. It was mid-November, the weather was warm and sunny, and the water was perfect. The beach is cozy. Parking, shower, lounge chairs and umbrellas were set up and free. I am only sorry we didn't plan to spend an extra night to enjoy Eilat and the beach more.

Room Tip: It is not far from the airport and all the rooms are on a balcony so there is some noise, but it was...

This Hotel is a nice and cheap Diver's hotel, A diver needs a good shower, a bed and a nice breakfast. Blue certainly gives it and in a fair way. staff are friendly and the location is - if you are not lazy,a foot walk from the airport and central bus station.
some of the rooms needs restoration.

Room Tip: it looks like the lower floor rooms are restored

- Location is up the hill and down a small alleyway - it's close to the bus station but further away than a few of the other hotels in town from the airport.

- Well presented, friendly staff and average rooms.

- They have a small counter with a number of adverts and flyers for local restaurants, etc in town and a number of them have discount vouchers on them.

- Breakfast was pretty decent for such a smaller hotel.

Room Tip: Book on their own website, it was cheaper than booking.com
