I went to the hotel last week' after reading a recomendation here on tripadvisor.
the hotel is a very noisy hotel, old fashioned and has very poor rooms !
I planed to stay two nights, but after one i moved to another hotel...
It was one of my worst experiances in a hotel ever !
Please please spare yourself the disapointment...
Don't even consider it !

On the last days of our round-trip through Israel and Jordan we came in this hotel. It is a little old fashioned but clean and the beds are good. Also the bathroom is sufficient and had all we needed. After our stays in Jordan it was a good decision to choose this. The staff was very friendly and and the food was excellent.
It is a pity that is was sometimes very noisy in and outside the hotel and that you have to walk at least 20min downsteps to the beach around the runway of the airport.

As long as the hotel not is filled up with school groups, it is decent with fair prizes, average rooms (with tv and private facilities) and a good, rather cheap buffet restaurant. Staff friendly and helpful.
The hotel is some streets away from the beach centre, therefore more peaceful.

Room Tip: Best rooms are on the side away from the main street; more peaceful with great view over the mountai...

Reviewed 24 March 2012

I stayed at this hotel in March 2012 with my husband and my parents (who are 68 and 71). I was very nervous to book this hotel as some of the previous reviews were so awful, but when we got there everything about it exceeded my expectations by a mile! I seriously don't know what all those bad reviews were about. PLEASE IGNORE THEM as they are totally unfair. This hotel was nice, clean, comfortable, the staff helpful and pleasant (a bit abrupt for western standards but everyone is like that in Israel), they even kept our bags for 2 days while we were in Egypt! The rooms and bathrooms were very nice, the pool area was lovely -you can have it all for yourself, but it closes at 4pm- the breakfast delicious with a good choice of food. We had a lovely balcony from which we watched two beautiful sunsets on the desert. I did NOT see any insects of any kind, let alone cockroaches. The location was perfect for us as it is right opposite the exit of the bus station, ideal if you are travelling to/from Egypt. There are nice inexpensive restaurants and shops near by and a convenient mini-market on the basement (at street level). The only not so good thing is that it is a bit far from the beach, but it's a nice walk.
All in all I found the Arcadia Spa Hotel a very good choice and the value for money was unreal!
If anyone wants more then go to the top end hotels by the beach and pay their ridiculously inflated prices.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony

We travelled from Taba, Egypt to Jerusalem and had to stay a night in Eilat. We were very glad to find a room available at this hotel right opposite the bus station since we have quite a few bags. The hotel was very busy with local folks (we were told it was the end of their holiday). The young lady at the counter was extremely helpful. The room was decent and clean. There were two big supermarkets near the bus station and a number of restaurants.

It was worst experience we ever had. Our room was dirty all over, bedding was old and ripped, walls were dirty with dead smashed cockroaches. Toilet and bathroom old and unsterile, live cockroaches were found inside the bath.
We stayed the first night there because of our late night arrival only. Next morning we left for another hotel, although we had another nigh booked and prepaid in this hotel.

Breakfast can be improved. But overall it is a decent place to stay for what it is worth.
