We stayed at this hotel for two weekend nights, to celebrate our 12th anniversary. The fee is quite high but still it's a great choice. The best thing couple-wise is that children are not allowed, and the size is just right, which means not too many people around you at the pool, spa or dining room. The spa looks small at first, but is very satisfactory with the big jacuzzi, the brilliant waterfalls and the hot hydrotherapy bath. Some of the facilities look like they could use some renovation but all in all its o.k. We had a massage (double) that was absolutely great- real professionals! The breakfast is super spoiling with a very wide variety and for dinner you get to choose from 3 different restaurants. We choose to dine at the "Lowrance" both nights. If you are a vegetarian you will only get one option on the main course which is very disappointing (although it was good). The biggest disappointment from this hotel was their rush to switch to "kusher for passover" thus refusing to send us chocolates and even the only one veggie dish disappeared and replaced by a terrible fried noodles. We did ask before booking if there will be any changes due to the coming passover, and we again and again got the same answer that the switch will take place on a specific time and date that will not bother our stay. In fact the staff made the switch a day and a half before and hence the discomfort!! So our suggestion is not to expect normality around holidays. As for the service- it is good and the stuff knows the "right words", but don't expect the extra spoiling service you get on 5 star hotels in Europe. The hotel manager is very welcoming and she gives her privet number to the guests but it didn't help in our case when we tried to call her on Friday night.

Room Tip: Ask for an high floor. Corner suites will probably have the best view.

we stayed at the herods vitalis spa in eilat for just 2 nights and it was lovely. the rooms are beautiful and the beds are soooo comfortable with soft duvets and an awesome canopy above. We even had a view of the bright blue water from our cosy balcony. Check-in took a long time (they should really have 2 people at reception instead of just the 1) but it was worth the wait. the "quiet" pool at this spa hotel was truly quiet, and the swing chairs completed the relaxation. I had a facial with Rania who was proffesional and really knew her stuff, and a massage with Jane that was awesome! The deal we had came with breakfast and dinner included. Breakfast was good (as most Israeli breakfasts are) and dinner at the in-hotel restaurant called "Lawrence" was truly exceptional! A young woman named Shani helped us with all our specific food requests and the wait staff was courteous as well. And last but not least, the hotel manager Gala Ben Simon made our whole stay even more enjoyable by making us feel so very welcome and adding her personal touch to taking care of our every need. I would recommend this hotel wholeheartedly and would most certainly stay there again the next time I go to Eilat.

Room Tip: ask for one of the renovated rooms.

We stayed at the Herods Vitalis Boutique Hotel and Spa during our visit to Israel in December 2013. We have traveled extensively and this Hotel/Spa by far exceed any that we have stayed at. It is luxurious. The views of the water are magnificent from each room. The rooms have small balconies overlooking the beach. The rooms are HUGE with sunken bathtubs and unbelievable bathrooms. The spa at the hotel is magnificent and we received great massages. There was free food and snacks available in the lounge almost all day plus delicious desserts and fruits in the afternoon. The service was amazing. The staff was extremely helpful and knew out names after the first day. This is a non-smoking hotel which was wonderful, especially in Israel, where smoking is still more prevalent than in the U.S. Special mention to the Hotel manager Gala Bensimon who went out of her way to please us and make our stay enjoyable. Also, Nicole, the assistant manager was very helpful. We felt pampered. By the way, the hotel has a private connection to the beach which is only a few steps from the hotel. We highly recommend this hotel. It is an adult hotel only.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room on a high floor so you can have a view of both sides of the sea, i.e the Egypt...

A very luxurious hotel.
The rooms are big and spacious. Though there is no iron in the room.
The staff are very helpful and polite.
There are no kids teens or babies in the premises which makes it very quite and relaxing . It is not permitted to speak with cell phones in the public areas and smoking is not allowed - so the atmosphere is very calm.
You can use the spa facilities - jacuzzi, saunas, waterfalls pools...
The breakfast is great, in the noon they serve snacks and after noon cakes...
Most of the guests are couples who came to have a quite vacation.
Very recommended!

This is the third time we have stayed in this hotel. As it is under new management since our last stay we were a little worried that it may have changed. We needn't have worried as we received the same warm welcome and service. We were unhappy with our room as there was a connecting door to the next door room and the occupant woke us up at 6.00am the first morning talking very loudly so we asked to move and were moved immediately to a much quieter room. Although we were booked in half board it was as good as full board as breakfast is served until 1200 noon when they put out salads and snacks and this is cleared at 4.00 pm when they leave out cakes and fruit. Hot drinks are available all day. Half board meant we were entitled to choose from one of three restaurants in the Herod's complex. We had wonderful hot stones massages and enjoyed sitting by the spa's pool which is quiet.

The hotel is a bit expensive, but i have really enjoyed my vacation there :)
The spa is awesome and the room was very big and had two balconies, a huge bed and a small jacuzzi in the bathroom. Lots of food options so you will probably need to lose some weight afterwards !! :)
