This is a very good hotel. We base it on the following points:
1. We had the deluxe room Seaview on the 9th floor. The room was a bit old, however, it was large, the bed was very cosy, on the hard side (as we like) and it was very clean throughout our stay. The small balcony with the magnificent Red Sea view was great!
2. The room was very quiet.
3. Breakfast was good. It was a buffet style, with a lot of options and fresh and cooked food (we were on midweek).
4. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
5. The beach is one of the strongest points about this hotel. Although we stayed on the summer holiday, due to the fact that the hotel is at the end of the north beach, it was quiet, and we got sun-beds from the hotel. You can have a nice swim there.
This hotel is one of the best in Eilat.

I tried most of the hotels in Eilat amd my favourite is still the Dan. Rooms are great. Each one ocean front and with terrace. best israeli breakfast buffet ever. Beautiful pool and amazing almost private beach. I will stay in this hotel always.

We stayed here for 6 nights having not stayed at the hotel for in excess of 5 years when we stayed there on a number of occasions. We were given a lovely upgraded room which had been refurbished and i can not really fault. The reception and restaurant are in need of a refurbish and look tired . One of the reasons i returned to the Dan was the superb food. Unfortunately this let the hotel down on this occasion. The quantity of food at breakfast was huge however i quality and presentation was substantially below the standard in previous years. Furthermore friday night dinner which i previously viewed as as good as anywhere in israel was a huge disappointment both on choice and quality. It was expensive and did not live up to expectations. We also had to queue for some of the food meaning other food on the plate became cold and made for a very unrelaxing friday night dinner. Pool area as nice as i remembered but think the hotel as a whole is not as good as it used to be.

Right from the beginning we were worried this wasn't going to be what we expected. There was a line for check-in but unfortunately staff would just take whomever walked up. It was a good 30 mins trying to check in. Finally a Manager realized how long my husband was standing and called him over. Staff had already started with another walk-up but luckily they made the wait so we could check in. Rooms were OK. Buffet breakfast offered a large choice and was well laid out. Our impression is that this hotel is a weekend family getaway for many Israelis. There were tons of kids and families around the pool. If you did not go first thing in the morning to reserve a pool seat, chances are you would have difficulty finding two together. Not that we used any but there did seem to be lots of shows and things for kids to do. The hotel does have a lot of amenities but for us as a couple, it lacked what it takes to be classified as a 5-star. Service was basic.

We came to this hotel for the 4th time. Such a huge disappointment! The hotel decided to make very nosy renovations at this time.
The rooms are very old fashion and needs a really good do-over (this is the renovations they should have done).
The beds are not comfortable (2 beds and not king size one).
The blankets are very short and not comfortable at all.
We are here for 3 more days we'll try to make the best to enjoy
