“Dirty,shabby hotel”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 July 2014 via mobile

My fiancé and I checked into this hotel 7/11/14 for a 2 night stay after a 10 day tour of Israel.
Hotel is shabby, outdated.
Our room had a view of sea as booked.
Pool area was crazy.
Lifeguard spent the morning looking at his cellphone instead of the pool.. Screaming, drunken people were all over and garbage was all over the pool area. At the end of the day, garbage was blowing into the pool.
Staff did nothing to control the situation during the day and seemed overwhelmed with garbage later in day.
On one table, next to garbage can, someone ate a mound of sunflower seeds and spit the shells on the table and left them.
We left the hotel at night to go out to eat, someone threw garbage off the balcony which landed right in front of security guard who did nothing.
People sit by pool with bottles of hard liquor and drink themselves into a stupor.
We had just left the Dan Panorama in Tel Aviv which was beautiful, we stayed in the Dan in Jeruselum which was very good also.
For $330.00/night US this was a rip off.
I would like to say staff at front desk very nice and helpful.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from this hotel!!

Location
Perfect. It just can't get any better in Eilat. On the beach, right near the center mall, attractions and promenade.
Maintenance
It is renovated, and it's good it is. The approach seems to maintain the minimum "Good" level. There very some small things to improve or fix a bit in the room but nothing critical or really annoying, so they get a "pass".
Rooms
We got fantastic view on the bay right from our beds. The balcony to the same direction makes the things even better. The rooms are big enough and are on the level you would expect from this hotel.
Pool
Good. Just what you would expect. Not extremely big but sufficient, clean and has enough shadow areas.
Food
Outstanding. Their chef is up to the job. Only superlatives to say. Way beyond the overall level of the hotel, the food served is on par with much better and more expensive places - the variety, dining room service and above all - the taste and the quality deserve the highest rating.
Beach
Just outside of the hotel. Clean, rocky and very convenient to go.
Kids club
We have seen better ones, though this one is acceptable.
Overall
Good for a family vacation, with some pleasure points. The constant lack of parking (free parking) is somewhat annoying.

The hotel was one of the first in Eilat of the seventies. Recently renovated in a modern and somewhat minimalistic style. The room was spacious enough and with an incredible view of the Eilat Bay. The facilities are well maintained and the service is excellent.
The food deserves a special mention. We spent 3 night half board so we had a chance to enjoy 3 dinners of a healthy variety of tasty well-prepared food. Desserts were scrumptious given that Jewish Kosher rules were observed and no dairy products were in any of the desserts.
Altogether a very pleasant experience

Room Tip: Try to avoid rooms on the first floor

The review is written from within the hotel. I'm here as part of corporate vacation, have a room at 3rd floor with marvelous view of the promenade, the sea and the city. The food was allright, not extraordinary though. The facilities are well maintained, accuracy in details is noticeable and the hotel is very clean all-around.

Great locatin just on the beach, a fine hotel .
Arrangement of the rooms takes time, we returned from the beach at 14:30 and the room was not ready, the room smelled strongly of cigarettes. The food was good and nicly presented.

We stayed at this hotel on our way to visit Petra in Jordan. When we arrived the check in was tedious and cumbersome. The staff member did not master the check in process. In addition the associate spoke little English. We were there for a night on a package arranged by one of the companies specializing in Petra tours.
After checking in we proceeded to our room which should be an un-eventful trip. There is one elevator for seven floors; making the wait long. The rooms are spacious with subpar fixtures and bed. The mattress was uncomfortable, not what is expected of a 5 star hotel.
In this hotel to use the gym you pay an additional charge.
We visited the spa and was average at best.
Definitely not a place to visit in the future.
We should rather cross the border right away and stay in Petra if not Aqaba.
Beware of the companies setting up this packages. There are better choices in Eilat if you choose to stay there.

Room Tip: There is lots of noise in the beach during the evening. Pick a room away from the public beach.
