“Stay at the King's floor”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 October 2013

The only way to enjoy this hotel is by staying at the King's floor. The rooms are renovated and modern. Staying at the King's floor entitles you to free entrance to the lounge that is open almost all day and also entitles you to have VIP breakfast at the hotel's restaurant and not at the crowded dining room.

never given such a bad review and I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels. need a holiday after my ‘supposed’ 3 day holiday in this Isrotel hotel. ill start with the positive, we had half board and the food at the breakfast and dinner were very good and a lot of choice, although you can’t stay in the dining room for a long time as it’s very noisy and they sit the tables very close together so you will constantly get bumped. The service staff were also very good and really tried their hardest, apart from the hostile and unfriendly manager of the hotel – despite it being her job to listen to criticism, she was very sarcastic and unpleasant. So the rooms and the hotel itself is out dated and tired looking and could use an revamp badly. Bed was uncomfortable, safe in the room is so old, broke twice on our 3 day stay, phone didn’t work and the shower curtains were merely a sheet which did not prevent the bathroom from constantly flooding. Long lines and crowds for everything in this hotel – the worst was the lift – I spent at least an hour a day waiting for the lift – and when it finally came it was full or going to a higher floor. I would eventually split up with my husband, he would cram in the lift with the baby and I would cram in another lift, having to fold the stroller so I could squash in. worst hotel experience I have ever had, money down the toilet and it wasn’t cheap. long lines to check into the hotel, there was also no parking available when we arrived at the hotel so we had to park very far. pool was very crowded and not shaded that well so was too hot to sit by the pool until late afternoon. kids running down the hall all day long so rooms were very noisy
Do yourself a favour and don’t stay in this Isrotel hotel. there are much better hotels in eilat

Dear bondigirl-sydney,

Thank you for taking the time to write your recent review. I am pleased to read you enjoyed the multitude of food options we provide and the service from our staff overall. I am disappointed however that the majority of your stay was not pleasant, and for that I apologize. If you would like to discuss your stay directly please contact me on hanis@isrotel.co.il.

The room and facilities are grate the service of the workers are grate the food very taste but the lines of waiting to entrance to dinining room so long that you regrat about order your vacation in this hotel. We came to eat diner at 21:30 because we it was terrible to wait in the lines.... For us it is o.k but to eat at that hour for small children it is unacceptable. For sure we will not come back to this hotel although that all the athers thing was excellent.

A large and busy hotel at the Red Sea resort of Eilat, Israel. Rooms large and well maintained, buffet meals with a large variety of freshly cooked food - except on Shabbat which is always a difficult time in Israel. The hotel pool is divided into a number of sections for different age groups and abilities with the pool attendants very vigilant and maintaining good order. The hotel is a short walk from the tourist shops, cafes and restaurants. If you want a quiet breakfast, be in the hotel dining room before 9am, it is best to be in for dinner early, too. If you want a quiet time away from children, this is not the place for you!!!

4 couples with babies, we stayed for a weekend during May 2013. We received recently-renovated, pool-side, next-to-each-other rooms on the 8th floor which were very convenient.

The Hotel staff was very helpful and supplied everything needed to the baby, including food at any time.

Breakfast was nice, pool was great and children-kingdom is a great place to hang with your kids. The only drawback was that the room is not being cleaned twice a day, only once in the morning.

Room Tip: Rooms from the 6th floor and above are renovated

Never having been away for Passover before, 3 generations within my family went together to Israel this year. My 81 year old mother (with a friend), my husband and I, and my son and daughter-in-law left the miserable English weather behind for the joys of Eilat.
Although our flight was delayed by several hours, the hotel dinner buffet stayed open on our day of arrival to ensure that the weary guests were able to enjoy an evening meal.
We were half board, but by the time we'd indulged ourselves in the beautifully presented and varied breakfast, we really needed very little for lunch. Dinner was again buffet style (and was tasty and plentiful). An extra bonus was the inclusion of soft drinks and wines, which were not expecting!
We stayed for 11 nights over Passover (with a couple of extra days at the end). Although the hotel was full for most of the time, there was always room around the pool and we even managed to find a quiet spot away from noisy children! The dining room was very crowded in the evening, but that was to be expected with such a full hotel.
Even though our party spanned various age groups, we all enjoyed our stay. My son used the gym, my mother enjoyed the evening shows, and the hotel was near enough to the shops for browsing and buying.
Our only complaint was that there seemed to be two prices for spa treatments - one at reception and a higher price at the spa, but the manager ensured that we were refunded.
We would definitely stay at the hotel again - great weather, comfortable and clean rooms, good food and a convenient location.

The standard room (on the 5th floor) was in a poor shape,
smelled like moldy carpet and most of the furniture were in really bad shape (cigarette been switched off on the plastic furniture, armchairs disbanded once 2 year girl sat on them, even took a picture of the couch that has to be in the dumpster and not in a 5 stars hotel).

Service was OK (except of the fact that they didn't changed our room to not a moldy/disassemble one - and we asked... several times)...

Food (we had breakfast only) was great, no diet drinks for the diabetes guests on the morning thought....(only for dinner)...

Over all - It was fine, but maybe my expectations were too high....
