“A very nice vacation in the Isrotel Royal Garden”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 February 2014

We stayed at theIsrotel Royal Garden Eilat for 11 nights. To tell the truth, we reserved our best preferred hotel Isrotel Lagoona but since the Isrotel Lagoona was under renovations, we were transferred to Isrotel Royal Garden. We have only good words to say about the Isrotel Royal Garden. We stayed in a nice suite, very big and comfortable. The cleaning staff is very efficient, attentive to all special requests, every request is answered immediately. The rooms are cleaned on time. The reception staff is also very nice and helpull. We would like to say special thanks to Sivan which is the coordinator of meals for those guests who are on half board or on inclusive plan. Since the dining room serves most of the time only breakfast, Sivan helps the guests to find solutions for lunch and dinner. She is very attentive to the guests wishes and tries to help as much as she can, and she succeeds. The guest relations manager, Miki Itzhaki is also very attentive and helpfull to the guests. Breakfast is very nice, very tasty, plenty of options to choose from.
We had a very nice vacation in a very good hotel, but after all, on our next vacation in Eilat we are planning to come back to our home in Eilat, Isrotel Lagoona, because though it is smaller than Royal Garden, it has the atmosphere of home for us. And in Lagoona there is Marlena, the guest relations manager, Which gives us the best feeling of beeing taken care of. We have to say, that though we stayed this time in Royal Garden, Marlena came to visit us, concerned that we will have the best vacation even if not in Lagoona. We know that Marlena did this also to other guests that come regularly to Lagoona, in this season, every year for the Classic-Cameri Festival.
To sum up: we had a very nice vacationin the Isrotel Royal Garden hotel, but our "home" in Eilat is Isrotel Lagoona!

We are staying at the hotel right now, and I must say even though I heard good reviews from friends about the hotel, and read the reviews on Tripadvisor, I was not expecting the service we got,nor the size of the room.
The hotel is well equiped for families and for couples.
I guess that on season it would be wise for couples to avoid the place though, since families with more than one kid love the place for enabling up to three children to sleep in one room with the parents, and also the well equiped kitchen ( even has a dishwasher) allows fussy children to have their usual food, and their parents to have one thing less to argue about...
The crew was over the top with helping, giving tips and they even sent us free fruits and water to our room, which was very nice.

Flight to Eilat from Tel Aviv passed in a flash, a courtesy bus await passengers checked into the Isrotel chain of hotels (about 6 in Eilat - all very close to each other), and we began our holiday long before noon.
The gardens around the hotel with waterfalls, lots of different sized pools sitting in a "paradise" retreat, one pool even with a sandy beach although actually 5 minutes walk from the beach, deck chairs, sitting areas under palm trees - paradise on earth while it is mid-winter in the northern hemisphere.

The studio room with separate bedroom, and small kitchenette are just perfect if you wish to buy in the supermarket and heat in the room - dishwasher, toaster oven and microwave oven, refrigerator, kettle all provided - included in the cost.

Of course two excellent restaurants in the hotel - one dairy one meat. The lamb chops were to die for, and the onion soup too. The waiters - all extremely polite, well versed in several languages, and at your beck and call.

I have no more superlatives - a hotel which is very centrally situated (Eilat is small and everything and everywhere is accessible on foot). The Ice Space Mall (10 minutes from the hotel - away from town), is absolutely brand new, olympic size skating rink available to everyone, the two-storey shopping mall surrounding the rink is fabulous including an " indoor market" for all types of clothing, lovely eating places (not only fast food), and facilities for children of all ages.

As for shopping - it's a pity to waste time and not enjoy the lovely warm weather, but at sale time there are bargains galore for all ages and sizes.

There are other attractions - underwater observatory, jeep rides, extreme sports part (just opened), "Kings City" amusement park, and many others - all ready for your enjoyment and plenty of fun for the kids.

A visit to the "attached" Le Boulevard is a MUST - all the designer labels and more. Another MUST especially for anyone over about 8 years of age - is the WOW theatre within the hotel premises - the acrobatic and comic acts were extraordinary - 2 fun filled hours

Room Tip: All wings of the hotel are no more than 4 storeys high and different views from each wing.

We chose to come the Royal garden for the second time for a family winter holiday, as we found it the most suitable hotel for family's needs and, in the right price. We were 4 adults and 2 children. We all stayed in the big suite which was very spacious and comfortable with 2 bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen and two bathrooms.
Even though the sand swimming pool was under renovation, our children enjoyed the heated swimming pool very much.
The most important thing for us is the extraordinary customer service.
The reception desk was dealing with our requests in a kind and efficient way and we felt they really want to help with making our holiday as pleasent as possible. The cleaning team were very friendly and polite.
Above all, public relation person, Mrs. Miki Yitzchaki, dealt with our needs in a the most wonderful and pleasent way.
We can recommend Royal garden for anyone looking for a great family holiday in Eilat.

We stayed at the Royal Garden for 3 nights. Check in was swift and eventless. The room was nice, though a bit old, probably about 15 years old or so. It has a little kitchenette that came in handy, especially with children. The kitchenette is equipped with a microwave, utensils, a range, pots etc. One problem regarding the room is that the bath had draining issues, but we did not bother notifying housekeeping and used it as it was. Everything else worked perfectly well.

The pool area is very nice - the pool itself is heated, which was very convenient in January (the outer temperature during our stay was in the high 70s F). There's a beach-like area with sand and a nice pool, but it was under renovations during our stay. There's also a water slide that the kids liked.
Breakfast had the usual selection of fruits and vegetables, typical of most Israeli hotels. There were many types of pastries, a cooked-to-order eggs station (omelettes of many kinds) and other items, all in a very good quality. The fruits selection could be improved - e.g. there were no strawberries or any berries. Also, there were only 3 types of cereals offered, the cheaper ones... But overall, a very nice breakfast in a nice dining room.

The hotel's location is perfect - near the promenade, and very close to the beach and shops. There is also a shopping center in the hotel itself, as well as a theater with the WOW show (an acrobatic and dancing show).

The staff was courteous and polite, and the service was very good.

The internet in the hotel's business center is not free, which is sooo 1990's. I mean, 10NIS (~$2.5USD) for 20 minutes is ridiculously expensive, not to mention the fact that free wifi is NOT available in the hotel. That's typical to all Isrotel hotels I've stayed in and should be changed - even cheap motels in the US offer free wifi, and those with a business center offer free use of the computers' internet.

One minor point is the parking lot - it is quite far from the elevators of the wing we stayed at (near the reception), and we had to cross the pool area (which is quite big) with all the luggage. I should mention that the parking lot is close to the Rose wing.

In summary, a very good option for a family vacation in Eilat, with great off-season prices.

We a family of 2 parents and 2 kids (1 and 4) stayed in the Royal Garden hotel for 3 nights during January 2014 in room 420.

The good:
1. The room was large enough (that's what we ordered). We ordered a large room, and received a room with a bedroom, a living room (where the kids stayed), and a small kitchen. We also had a nice balcony. Even the 1 year old bed, which in many cases is in bad shape, was in a good condition.
2. Everything was extremely clean.
3. Breakfast was very good (even on Saturday).
4. We got a service with a smile (especially from the bell boy).
5. Very good location, while the room was quiet.

The bad:
1. At first we didn't have hot water (yes, you need hot water in Eilat). This is because the building was closed before we came.
2. The A/C heating wasn't working, and it took 3 people from the hotel service to understand that it's won't work (they told us to turn it on for half an hour and then to wait until 20:00). Only the third person knew that it's something in the hotel, and the A/C won't work, so they gave us radiators (which were fine).

We expected a lot from the hotel when we booked it but when we arrived we found out that a lot of the facilities were closed or under renovation. Sand pool is closed for renovation for a longer time period, there is no snack bar and no dinner in the buffet during the weekdays. Service was poor and when asking questions to the hotel staff you got a different answer each time. If all facilities would be up and running this would be a great hotel, but now in jan 2014 it is not worth the money.
