I stayed in Hotel Adi for 5 nights and was very satisfied. It is not on the hotel strip and it doesn't have a pool, but other than that I have no complaints. It is 10 minutes from the beach and very close to supermarkets and a number of restaurants. Breakfast and dinner are very good with a lot of variety. When I needed something from the staff, I was helped in a timely manner. The lobby can get loud but I never had a problem with the noise level in my room. I personally did not find that the hotel was run down in any way. The hotel is very good value. If you want better accommodations, you will have to spend more money.

The hotel was modern and bright, but you should be aware of some things for your records as well as for the information and/or benefit to future travelers. The Adi hotel is very noisy. The central atrium extends to the top (6th) floor of the rooms which surround it. As a result, the sounds of screaming children on the Lobby floor at 8 pm and the drunken Russians at 1:30 am reverberated up to our 5th floor rooms. The dog in a residence below our room barked a lot at the feral cats in the neighborhood.

The accommodations are bare to the extreme. No top sheets on the beds; only a bottom sheet plus a blanket. No information of any kind in the room, beyond the emergency placard on the door. Only soap dispensers in the bathrooms; no other toiletries. No wash cloths (also lacking in other Israeli hotels). Only one English TV channel - BBC World. The only good thing was the free Wi-fi on the lower two floors of the hotel for those who had their own laptops. That info was missing on the hotel's information.

This would be a decent cheap hotel but it is located next to an unbearably loud disco/night club. I had a room overlooking the club and the noise late at night was terrible. I couldn't even sleep with earplugs.

I complained to management and they said that there is nothing they can do.

I stayed at the hotel in july 2005 and could say that hotel itself was very nice. It was clean with very big spacious rooms and really good breakfast and dinner, Yes it did not have pool and was some 600 metres from the beach, but i was not on holidays there and for it was not vey important. However it was very expensive, as i remember i payed 170 dollars a night for just one night! Overall very good hotel for a short buisness trip!

If you like loud halls, filth, stained carpets, smoky rooms covered up with artificial deodorizers and a view of a parking lot, this is the hotel for you.

The hotel is advertised on the Internet as " approximately 300 meters from the beach". This is true if by approximately 300 meters you actually mean 1 km. The hotel is a long walk from the beach, and the views may include a view of the coast, but also may include an oil-stained parking lot with some mountains in the background.

The "high standard" bar must be set pretty low if this hotel is to be considered even livable.

Check your luggage and expectations at the door if you are wanting anything more than a mismanaged hostel.

Other hotels in the area we a little pricer, but offered many more services. We strongly suggest checking out the other hotels in the area before checking into the Adi.

We were informed tht although the Adi does not have a pool we would have access to another nearby facility. This is completely false

Unless you're a teen school-group, this hotel does not seem suitable.

We did not stay long enough to sample the breakfast, and therefore cannot comment on it.

Keep your eyes open before forking your money.

Excellent value. Comfortable room, good dining room with good breakfast selection. Balcony view of Eilat. Not far from attractions.

You can't expect the Ritz for $60. Rates surge at all hotels during holidays. Remember, you get what you pay for.

The Adi is located up the hill from the shopping mall and some of the other hotels. This is one reason why it's less expensive than some of the other hotels. It's a 5-10 minute walk from the airport, and 5-10 minutes to the shopping mall. The hotels on North beach are a 10-15 minute walk.

I recently spent a week at the Adi. During one night they had a school group. In the early evening I could here them in the lobby. I think a few other guests complained. My room was on the 5th floor and I didn't hear anything from the room. Also, the view from the balcony was quite spectacular.

They had cable TV. I don't remember how many channels. The bathroom was fine.

I did enjoy the breakfast. They had the usual assortment of fresh bread and vegetables.

Sorry I didn't take a photo of the room. I did take one of the view from the balcony.
