The Colony is a simple five minute walk from the train station situated on the best street in Haifa. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast buffet was enjoyable. We stayed for four nights and ate at a different restaurant every night on Ben Gurion Street. Every meal was superb and there was a nice atmosphere in the area. I would definitely recommend The Colony.

We booked this hotel after so many searches for hotels in Haifa since we were staying there for 10 nights and have two kids.
The building for sure has some charm in to it and in some rooms beautiful view of the Bahai Gardens.
However, the rooms are small and not comfortable, the electronics such as phones or wifi don't work well or at all and asking for fixing them did not go anywhere. The bathrooms smell and sheets are not changed as frequently as they should.
The staff with n exception of 1 or 2 people, are not helpful or friendly.
The hotel claims that is luxury and its not anything close to it. But for sure charges the orice of luxury in that area.

Room Tip: With the price of this hotel or even less you can find better quality hotels in Haifa.

The Colony is a nice Boutique hotel on the main street of Haifa, looking up at the Baha'i Gardens. It's centrally located to the night spots of the city and the staff was very warm & friendly. The room was well-appointed.

We stayed for one night during the weekend. The stuff was warm and welcoming and the location was great for visiting Haifa. We recommend rooms on the second floor and up. The view is better and also the 1st floor rooms are below ground. Breakfast was average. The hotel keeps kosher, and they don't make fresh eggs during the weekend. Overall, very nice hotel.

The hotel was clean and very nice. Service was good although my phone never worked despite my repeated requests to repair it. The location is phenomenal. Having no real dedicated parking is a huge problem, sadly. As much as I loved that hotel, I would not book it again in the future until the management solves the parking issues

Room Tip: I highly recommend guests to press the question about parking. The area surrounding the hotel is thriving and busy and parking can become a nightmare sometime
