Unique place with with a fantastic fusion and multicultural menu! The owner was gracious and entertaining. He gave us great suggestions and paired our wine. Will def return on our next trip.

On our last day in Israel, we were looking for Israeli food, but when I stopped to ask Fady--clearly the owner of this inviting cafe--if he had falafel, he pulled out his menu, told us he made his grandmother's dishes, they looked delicious, so we sat down, grateful for the shade. We ordered too much, but ate everything. The quality--Lebanese salad, savory pastries, meats, fresh and grilled vegetables, tahini, and mhalabieh dessert (delicate curd with sesame, sauced with poached plums and raisins) plus Octoberfest beer from Tiberias--was superb. Fady's hospitality and warmth, the wait staff's sweetness--even the resident gray cat--made our luncheon memorable. As another guest said, Don't miss it!

We had several good meals during our trip, but Douzan was one of the best. Fadi had reserved an entire section of the restaurant for our group and served us one scrumptious dish after another! He even brought out sparklers for the 'birthday boy' in our group! Highly recommended, must visit in Haifa.

The main road leading to the Baha'i Gardens is loaded with restaurants on either side, and it can be difficult to decide which one to choose.
We decided to stop at Douzan, where we could sit outside and enjoy the lovely weather and get a peek at the lit up gardens at the end of the street.
Our dinner was plentiful and the food was delicious.
We were never hurried.
The waiter understood English.
I'd highly recommend enjoying a meal outside at this restaurant in the German Colony of Haifa.
