This is a nice place to go and enjoy a "family atmosphere" with eastern european cuisine. It is a renoThe beers are good, the service is quick and very acceptable. Cosy place but not for a formal meeting dinner,
I would go and spend some time there with friends or family, but not with my boss, or the french representative of our export services.
There is only a problem of the opening hours. Check first before you go and ask if reservations are possible. Its reputation makes it worth the try, for those who want to go there for the first time.
I lost a bet and I'll meet my friend there to buy him his beer.

It's live show and many guests arrive sitting outside

been there few times over the years. it is a pub - restaurant serving traditional east europian jewish family couisin. it has an old and not a fancy look, is relatively small (at noon time - reservation is essential!), andt it maintains a very good reputation of food specialties quality. family heartful service. ignor cholesterol and garlic aroma for one meal - and you will enjoy it.

The atmosphere is original and the food is mainly Eastern European. The prices are reasonable and the service fast and friendly. On Friday afternoons they serve goulash but there is a waiting queue and you can have a beer while waiting to be seated. The soups are also quite filling.

From the outside, the building on Jaffa (Yaffo) Road looks downright ugly. Once you get in, the experience begins. First of all the restaurant is set up from a few small eating spaces. The decoration can be described as "eclectic" but in reality is a collection of various posters, signs, antiques and news paper articles. The food is just excellent. A variety of meets, grilled and baked. The beer selection is fantastic. I recommend the Romanian Kebabs, Pastrama and Oso Bucho. Really fantastic! Service is great too, all waiters are smiling and willing to chat, recommend dishes and fulfill your needs. Definitely a must in Haifa!
