Just back from 3 nights, stayed in a suite, not as luxurious as other hotels in the world, but nice enough! enough cannot be written about the gourmet dining, 3x per day(a bit much for a spa!), altho i was surprised to see that the dinner menu repeats each night(altho there are 9 choices plus a daily special). treatments r OK, some better than others(i had reflexology that was heavenly, facial average to below par). service is good, but again not over the top. staff could be a bit friendlier. very clean environment. not many daily activities outside of spa-ing.

Upon entering Carmel Forest Spa Resort, you are leaving the real world outside: with no phones allowed in the public areas of the resort, one is blissfully devoid of the constant beeping sounds surrounding us everyday.
People strolling in the mansion in their white robes or having herbal tea in the lobby - that's a relaxing vacation for you!

The food in the resort is first class - for all three meals. breakfast and lunch are dairy-based buffet, and dinner is a-la-carte, and the food is fresh, creative (in the best way possible) and delicious.
The resort has a nice wine bar, serving some of the best Israeli wines available, for drinking in the bar, or for your dinner.

The resort offers a great list of spa treatments, and first class spa facilities.
The service is extremely good, and all in all - it was a great vacation!

Room Tip: As for a room with a balcony - they're great!

This a gorgeous place-- with truly luxurious touches like fluffy terry covered mattresses out on the lawn near the pool. The food is simply the best food I have ever had at any hotel--truly outstanding. If you aren't familiar with the area, it's a little challenging to get there-- but once you know, it's quite simple. Massage was very good- but not great. The only two small drawbacks; 1) The fact that they have no place for wi-fi in the entire hotel is really antiquated. Charging over $30 on top of the already hefty prices seems really egregious. They did give us a free couple of hours when we said something 2) Check- in is a bit long and not very welcoming as one would have expected. But all in all a truly lovely couple of days.

I went to this marvelous place with my girl-friend during our Israel vacation on July 2011 and we both had a great time. the atmosphere and the service of this place was exceptional. the food was very good 9 though I seem to remember it being slightly better on my previous trip a few years back).

The only thing i can say was that though it was very pricey ( almost 600 dollars per night), we should have stayed for maybe two night because we did not really get to try all the many activities the place has to offer.

Also i would like to commend them on opening a wine bar on the 3 floor, excellent idea and excellent wines !

This is probably the only spa where you can gain weight instead of lose it. The location is stunning, with breathtaking views across the Carmel forest. The Spa is in the middle of nowhere so if you plan on seeing the sights or travelling around a car is essential.

The food is fantastic - every day the lunch and dinner menus were different. You could literally eat all day. Mobile phones are prohibited in public areas and the rule is enforced. You can use them outside or in your room.

The room was lovely with our own terrace. The bathroom was a little small but perfectly functional. The dining room is huge, modern and somewhat characterless. You could be in any city restaurant. The wine bar is small and for some reason closes very early. There is an indoor and outdoor pool and both are excellent. I had a deep tissue massage which felt like a fight with a bull but has really helped my neck and back. My wife said her facial was the best she'd ever had.

They offer swimming lessons as one of the extras. I went along for an 'improve your style' and discovered that my swimming style was lousy!

This really was a fabulously tranquil and restful stay.
