This was our second stay and the hotel continues to do everything well. The wine happy hour has moved to the spacious and airy breakfast room, an improvement from when it was in the lobby. The rooms, furnishing and upkeep are all excellent. The staff is attentive, friendly, and helpful with suggestions for dinner and guidance about parking. They make you feel at home. The breakfast selection is very good and the kitchen does eggs to order. It is about 15 minutes walk to the lively German Quarter, and a block to the Carmelite, underground funicular. One issue we did have was the problem of the lack of storage for unpacking in the number one room on our and other floors. We suggest to the staff that they remove the refrigerator from the hanging portion of the closet to the space under the bedroom table, so the clothes hang full length. The room on our previous stay did have adequate storage space. If you drive, you cannot turn left to the hotel and must go another block east to the tiny traffic circle which allows you to U-turn back to the hotel. Parking is available after about 5:30pm on the street east of the hotel. Otherwise they offer parking at 25 NIS with in and out privileges at a lot a block to the west.
