My wife and I have stayed in many apartments throughout all of our travels and I must say this apartment is on the top of our list to return to when visiting Jerusalem. The apartment is very well furnished, clean along with great and useful amenities and the mattresses are most comfortable. There were even chocolates on all of the pillows. First class! Reva was very responsive to all of our questions, a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommend this apartment.
I have rented numerous apartment in Jerusalem over the years, and can say without hesitation that this is the finest and nicest I have ever rented. It is in an excellent location, just one a half blocks from Emek Refaim, the main street of the German Colony, and a 24 hour (except for Shabbat) market that carries most of what one would need (there is a somewhat larger market about two blocks further north), It is at the same time in a very quiet location (it is right across the street from two adjoining synagogues, and next door to an organic market, but none of that has much impact on the noise level). If you have a car, it is important to note that there is no offstreet parking, and while on street parking does require payment (for which you will need to have downloaded the Pango or Cellopark app on your smartphone - there is no pay stand nearby), we only had a car for a few days, but never had to park more than about half a block away, and most of the time were able to park right by the building.
The apartment itself is renovated to a high standard. The appliances are all new and beautiful (I have to admit that the refrigerator was nicer than the one I have at home), and it is amply supplied with both meat and milk dishes and utensils (it is, of course, a kosher kitchen). The furniture is ample and very comfortable - in addition to the living room area, there is a small, additional seating area adjacent to the living room, so there is a lot of seating available. Between the two bedrooms, and the various sleep sofas/sleep chairs, a large number of people can sleep here. As I was sharing the apartment with a friend, we especially appreciated the en suite bathrooms, and it is worth noting that there is actually an additional half bath for guests or others to use.
The towels and linens were high-quality, and small touches like soap and all of the bathrooms, both coffee and tea pods for the Nespresso machine and even chocolates on the bed reflected the level of thoughtfulness and detail that went into the hospitality.
Like most buildings in Jerusalem, this one does not have an elevator, though it is up only one flight of stairs. That was no problem for us, but should be noted if you have a challenge going up and down stairs.
I would not hesitate to stay in his apartment again.
We recently stayed at Harmony Deluxe, a wonderful holiday apartment a few minutes’ walk from Emek Refaim, in Jerusalem’s German Colony. The neighborhood is central to popular Jerusalem sites and is home to shopping, synagogues, and various restaurants for dining out or ordering in. Never having stayed in a holiday rental, we had no idea what to expect but were delighted to discover that this beautiful apartment - spacious, sunny, well-lit, spotlessly clean (non-smoking), and decorated in soothing earth tones - compared favorably with better hotels. The owners’ attention to the needs and comfort of their guests is apparent in every detail. The entire apartment has an indoor-outdoor feel with a large terrace (appropriate for a succah) off the kitchen, as well as a small terrace, just right for enjoying a cup of coffee. A sunroom/playroom off the living room is sunlit most of the day and furnished with a couch, rocking chair, and children’s play area. The shelves are filled with family-friendly games, books, and puzzles. The two bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom, feature luxuriously comfortable beds with hypoallergenic bedding. (Convertible sofa beds in other rooms allow for up to nine guests.) There is also an additional guest bathroom. In addition to a well-appointed kitchen (kashered for religiously observant families before their arrival) with coffee/tea corner, some of the convenient amenities provided include a flat screen TV, washer/dryer, espresso machine, hair dryer, scented hand soap, iron and ironing board, shopping cart, umbrellas, first aid kit, and instruction book containing information about the apartment and surrounding area. In addition, everything one could possibly need (other than chicken soup) for Shabbat is provided. We thoroughly enjoyed this home away from home!
The apartment was very welcoming and comfortable for us and our 2 grandsons. There were even toys and games for them! The location was great, close by the main street in the German Village. On top of everything, it was a very clean apartment!
I rented the apartment while visiting my son who is studying in Yehiva in Old Katomon. The apartment was as nice advertised with a terrific location that was not only a short distance from my son's Yeshiva but also steps away from Emek Refaim. If you are Shomer Shabbat, Kosher, etc. the apartment has everything you will need. Reva was a pleasure to deal with and was available to answer any questions I had. I would highly recommend.
We rented the apartment for the holidays. It was well equipped, and great for hosting.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are very comfortable and modern and the kitchen is great, very close to Ramban shul.
