Harmony Hotel Jerusalem - an Atlas Boutique Hotel

We were upgraded, so we don't know what a 'normal' room looks like. Our suite was very spacious and very comfortable (2 flatscreen tv's!). Breakfast was good but not more than that in Israel. Hotel is hip and modern designed in an excellent location. Visit the bookstore/restaurant TmolShilshom across the street, excellent service, great food and nice laid-back atmosphere.

I stayed at the Harmony as a result of other reviews, and which I don't disagree with, but I have to say that each of the three nights I stayed, I was troubled with street noise, in the small hours of the night. I was in room 407, which was small, and overlooked the side street, where there is a night club. There was a great deal of shrieking at about 0230 each morning, which rather spoilt my stay. I did mention it to the front desk, and they acknowledged that this was a problem.
Otherwise, my stay was good. The front desk staff were very helpful, and as has been reviewed, breakfast and happy hour were both good. Try to avoid Friday night, as nearly everything closes at sunset, until sunset on Saturday.
My advice on transport from Tel Aviv is to use the Nesher Airport Shuttle which is located right outside the arrivals hall in T3 and only costs 50 shekels. Also I would advise changing money through the Money changers in Israel rather than at home before travel. They give very good rates, and are everywhere.
I took a trip to Bethlehem, using the Arab Blue bus, as it was Saturday. It cost just 6 shekels, and was a great way to travel, as opposed to the $70 for a half day tour!

Brand new, right in the center of west Jerusalem, the best buffet ever and i have stayed often at 5 star places, cocktail hour with tasty fruity, juice and actually good wine, plus cookies/cake if you are into that at 6 pm! Our room was smallish, but new, high tec, and very clean as one would expect from a new hotel. the staff, was very helpful esp. Ayala Dekel, the manager in getting us the best guides, etc. ....and great resturants near by, and a short walk to the old city. enjoy.

We stayed in the hotel two nights and had a great time. The hotel is situated in a very nice area, lot's of galleries, special shops etc. The location is very central. The hotel is great, clean, the service is great and very polite and friendly. One of the big pro's is that you can park and leave your car in the parking place of the hotel. The breakfast is good and well taken care of ... I only advised them to add some more fresh fruit, because that is what I eat in the morning.

Just book it, the reviews are all true. Excellent all around! If an option, do request a room away from the pedestrian street just to make your sleep in those comfortable beds that much more pleasurable :)

My mom and i spent 3 nights here and loved the view from the balcony where buffet "tea" was served from 4-7 pm daily. The full (included) breakfast had eggs, croissants, 3 other kinds of breads, spreads, cheeses, jams, fresh fruit and veggies... to order lattes.
The tea was a meal initself. And it was so relaxing enjoying it all from the 2nd floor balcony with umbrellas /couches/porch swings- watching all the pedestrian traffic below while sipping real lemonade and munching on 3 kinds of cakes and veggies in the late afternoon!! For free!
The rooms were comfy, very trendy and modern - the staff lovely and helpful. I'd stay again in a minute- oh- also it was right around the corner from busy Ben Yehuda street so my mom could nap while i toured around in the evening. Also there is a delicious restaurant downstairs that serves very crisp and filling delicious crepes - not blintzes-...but great crepes.

I have stayed in a number of hotels in Israel and often find the staff to be rude and the hotels are often 'average' at best. Harmony was therefore a real surprise.

The location is fantastic, on a small restaurant lined pedestrianised road, right in the centre of the tourist area. The old city walls are 5-10 minutes away, and it is next to some of the main bus routes.

Check in was a bit confusing, I think the hotel was full and they tried to fob us off initially with a large room for the 4 of us instead of 2 separate rooms, but after we said no, they were very polite and helpful.

The rooms were fantastic. Ultra clean, modern with crisp sheets, flat screen TV and a very nice bathroom. Our room was pretty small, but it didnt bother me too much as we werent planning to spend too long there. The other room for our friends was larger and they had a big balcony overlooking the street. My advice would be to check which room you have first if you are not tolerant of small rooms! The free wifi was a bit hit and miss as the signal wasnt that strong but it was just about usable. Howvere there is a computer in th elobby which is free to use.

The hotel featured a happy hour in the afternoon with free cakes, snacks, drinks and wine. This was a fantastic gesture. We sat on the hotel terrace and relaxed whilst snacking - for free! There was also a tastefully designed lounge area with a pool table, lots of magazines and books to read through.

Breakfast was included and very decent - the usual Israeli styled salads, plus cereals and some hot selections too.

All in all we were extremely impressed by this modern, trendy hotel. Best of all, the price was very reasonable compared to some of the other hotels which seem to get much worse reviews.

I would definitely stay here again if / when I next return to Jerusalem.
