“Best hotel value in Israel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 October 2009

We stayed 3 nights (plus waiting for midnight flight) and marveled at the ways the hotel added to our enjoyment of Jerusalem. The location is great -- a few steps and you are amidst the pleasures of the Ben Yehuda Mall; a delightful restaurant is across the street; the new Mamilla Mall takes only a short walk; and just beyond is the magic of the Old City. The Hotel is comfortable, with good Israeli breakfasts and a free happy hour in the lounge every evening.

Like the other Atlas hotels that I stay at during my trip, this hotel was clean and comfortable. The decor is very modern and the service was very pleasant. The Harmony is located in a very nice touristy area. It is a 15 minutes walk to the old city. Parking is very limited. If you can't get a parking spot, you will have to look elsewhere.

The lobby has an ample seating area and a computer to surf the internet. Breakfast and evening snacks are also served here. The lobby area extends on to a balcony with outdoor seating.

The rooms are a bit tight. But in this town, you really shouldn't be spending a lot of time in the room except to sleep. The free wireless internet was great. The only thing missing was an alarm clock.

At 2am when the bars are clearing out, the street noise may be annoying depending on which side of the hotel your room is located.

Right outside the hotel are plenty of nice restaurants, bars, and shopping.

We were upgraded, so we don't know what a 'normal' room looks like. Our suite was very spacious and very comfortable (2 flatscreen tv's!). Breakfast was good but not more than that in Israel. Hotel is hip and modern designed in an excellent location. Visit the bookstore/restaurant TmolShilshom across the street, excellent service, great food and nice laid-back atmosphere.

I stayed at the Harmony as a result of other reviews, and which I don't disagree with, but I have to say that each of the three nights I stayed, I was troubled with street noise, in the small hours of the night. I was in room 407, which was small, and overlooked the side street, where there is a night club. There was a great deal of shrieking at about 0230 each morning, which rather spoilt my stay. I did mention it to the front desk, and they acknowledged that this was a problem.
Otherwise, my stay was good. The front desk staff were very helpful, and as has been reviewed, breakfast and happy hour were both good. Try to avoid Friday night, as nearly everything closes at sunset, until sunset on Saturday.
My advice on transport from Tel Aviv is to use the Nesher Airport Shuttle which is located right outside the arrivals hall in T3 and only costs 50 shekels. Also I would advise changing money through the Money changers in Israel rather than at home before travel. They give very good rates, and are everywhere.
I took a trip to Bethlehem, using the Arab Blue bus, as it was Saturday. It cost just 6 shekels, and was a great way to travel, as opposed to the $70 for a half day tour!

Brand new, right in the center of west Jerusalem, the best buffet ever and i have stayed often at 5 star places, cocktail hour with tasty fruity, juice and actually good wine, plus cookies/cake if you are into that at 6 pm! Our room was smallish, but new, high tec, and very clean as one would expect from a new hotel. the staff, was very helpful esp. Ayala Dekel, the manager in getting us the best guides, etc. ....and great resturants near by, and a short walk to the old city. enjoy.

We stayed in the hotel two nights and had a great time. The hotel is situated in a very nice area, lot's of galleries, special shops etc. The location is very central. The hotel is great, clean, the service is great and very polite and friendly. One of the big pro's is that you can park and leave your car in the parking place of the hotel. The breakfast is good and well taken care of ... I only advised them to add some more fresh fruit, because that is what I eat in the morning.

Just book it, the reviews are all true. Excellent all around! If an option, do request a room away from the pedestrian street just to make your sleep in those comfortable beds that much more pleasurable :)
