The Old City of Jerusalem is a hard place to find a hotel. knight's Palace is so central and great for being able to come back and forth from the Holy Sepulcher Rooms are spacious and clean and the staff is friendly.

Good/Free Wireless and very helpful front desk staff. Great location - close to both New Gate and Jaffa gate.

My eyes burned from the cigarette smoke from previous occupants and forget going to be before 2300 since the bar is in the courtyard and it is extremely loud!

Rooms are large but not luxurious.

Stay for the location and wireless - not for the luxury or relaxation (unless you are WITH the group making all the noise, then you will be fine!)

The hotel is beautiful and the public spaces are fantastic. It has a charming medieval feel, is clean, the staff are pleasant, and in general this would be an excellent base for sightseeing. At night, the hotel is very quiet. It is situated in back alleys of the Christian quarter but is very close to New and Jaffa Gates. The hotel communicates the atmosphere of the Old City very well.

Unfortunately this means communicating all the annoying things about Jerusalem too. The standard of rooms is very uneven, some are magnificently palatial. My room unfortunately was more like an upmarket hostel and although I was the guest of a professional organisation I was made to share with a complete stranger. Moreover, I was irked that the reception closes at midnight and I was told to be back there by that time, which is relatively early in Jerusalem, where people dine late. Finally, the breakfast could be improved - it's hearty and probably satisfying but it lacks finesse.

I would recommend this hotel for first-time tourists to Jerusalem. The location next to the key sites is fantastic. However, ensure that you get a good room.

For location, this hotel cannot be faulted. It is within the city walls, 1 minute from New Gate, and 5 minutes from Jaffa Gate. The hotel itself is stunning, with Crusader/medieval features. The food is simple, but good and healthy. The staff are helpful, but occasionally too busy. The only down side are the rooms. They are quite basic, and the lighting is dull. But the shower works, and clean towels are provided each day. WIFI is available at no charge. For a short stay, this hotel is great.

If you want a comfortable stay in the Old City within walking distance of lots of sights and shopping, with good food and a lovely outdoor patio, this is it. If you want luxury, this isn't for you.

I came with a group. I appreciated the free wifi (although it didn't always reach to my room, the last in the hall). The food was really great, and buffet style. I was so happy. Very fresh and flavorful. The staff were really nice and helpful.

The bedrooms were pretty spacious, although the one I was in had two twin beds. It's not like being the states, but my roommate and I were quite happy with the arrangement, as we're not a couple and wouldn't have enjoyed sharing a bed. The bathrooms are basic, but clean and functional.

Be prepared for lots of walking! That is part of what made this hotel great. Very accessible by foot to lots of markets and sites. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Located in the Christian quarter of Jerusalem, Knight Palace was a safe, comfortable place to stay for my 10 days in Jerusalem. An 8 minute stroll down the street led me to the Holy Sepulcher. It is located within the Old City wall, but it is a few minutes from a modern shopping mall. Nice little cafes and stores are nearby. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast buffet was wonderful, and there was reliable WiFi.

I enjoyed staying at the Knight's Palace. I have stayed many times. It's simple clean and the food is good. Nothing fancy but the location inside the Old City is why I stay. You can walk to everything in the Old City. Staff is very helpful and kind. They offer free Wi-Fi... not very fast but good enough to send a Text or check facebook.
