While the lobby is beautiful that is where things end. The rooms are very small even though I I was upgraded to an Executive suite. If you are at the end of the hall it takes 10 minutes or longer to get hot water in the shower. When I complained to the manager he said he would send someone to look into it, however I never heard anything and it did not improve. This issue also existed with another person in my party who was on a different floor at the end of the hall. The way the bathroom is designed with a glass wall between the bathroom and bedroom even when you make it opaque there is a significant amount of light the still goes into the bedroom so if you want a reasonably dark room bedroom while someone is in the bathroom it is impossible. No shower door so water goes all over the bathroom.

stayed for a couple of days in this superb and very nice hotel. overall great - nice and clean rooms, fantastic bath room with a window between bedroom and bathroom which can be made milky by swtching on the electricity. superb top roof restaurant and bar with an excellent view over the city.
the only thing which was under my expectation was breakfast - if you are used to our kind of breakfast here in middle Europe, you are missing a number of things. if you are a fuit and cheese lover - then it is great.

Thank you for taking the time to write to us about your experience at Mamilla hotel. We are very pleased to read that you appreciate the unique features of our rooms. With regards to breakfast, Mamilla hotel is a kosher hotel which provides a wonderful dairy breakfast with variety of fruits and cheeses. Because of this we are not able to provide meat products during breakfast, which I assume one can expect in Europe.
We look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

First, I have to start with the fact that this hotel is magnificent. Rooms are immaculate and stunning, as is the entire hotel. I have Celiac Disease. When I checked in, the hostess/concierge handed me copies of the menus for the restaurants in the hotel with all gluten-free items highlighted in yellow. That was the nicest way I have ever been greeted to check in to any hotel! Hotel is very modern, perfect location - 5 minute walk from the Jaffa Gate AND 5 minute walk from Ben Yehuda/Jaffa Street intersection. Perfect!

Room Tip: This is the best Jerusalem has to offer. I stayed at the King David Hotel 15 years ago - this blows...

My wife and I stayed at the Mamilla for 3 nights. The staff (especially the concierge team) was very helpful. The hotel is in a great location, and is a 5 minute walk (through the mamilla mall) to the Jaffa Gate in the old city. The breakfast was great - probably the best spread that we have seen at a hotel.

The decor is very modern - clearly a lot of thought went into the design of the hotel and rooms. The one drawback (and the reason why the hotel doesn't get 5 stars) is that the beds weren't particularly comfortable.

Room Tip: When we asked the concierge for info about the Israel Museum, they were able to give us free entry p...

The breakfast is great, lots of areas to relax and chill out in. The pool in the spa is too small for lengths, but it is a nice spa. The only grips (and I have this with all hotels in Israel), is that the service can be somewhat prickly and at times, rude. It simply isn't good enough when rooms cost a small fortune. I will be staying here again, as I do consider it to be the best hotel in the city, but take note of the service warning! Also, no tea/coffee making facilities in the room rather annoying.

Dear guest,

On behalf of the Mamilla Hotel, we thank you for your comments and for taking the time to write your feedback. Your information is very valuable to us and we take them seriously.

With that been said, we would like to clarify some information to avoid misunderstanding;
A.The small pool in the spa is a watsu pool (A special pool for Watsu spa treatment). The real
indoor pools which includes the large and kids pools are located on the "S" level.
B.Coffee and Tea making facilities are not part of hotel's standard like some of other hotels
around the world, however upon request it could be arranged. Please make sure to make
such a request when making the reservation or through our Hosts department.

Furthermore, your feedback will be passed on to our Training Manager and I hope that your next stay will be flawless.

Looking forward to hosting you again in the nearest future.

My husband and i stayed at the Mamilla hotel for 2 nights over a weekend in May and thoroughly enjoyed it. i was very surprised to read some of the reviews on this site since we found the service to be excellant, the rooms luxurious and the location of course is unbeatable. The dining room was elegant and quiet and the food was delicious.
We had a wonderful stay and can't wait to go back!
