“Gorgeous place! Wonderful location!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 July 2014

I traveled with a group and the Manager greeted us with staff, drinks, and snacks to welcome us. He was absolutely wonderful and the wait staff was so helpful. The hotel is in front of the Mamila Mall, which is an outdoor mall with many shops and fantastic restaurants. The prices for dinner in the area are a little high by US standards, but the food was worth it!

I brought a power converter with me, but didn't need it as the rooms are equipped with 2 US plugs. Sounds like a silly thing, but when you need to charge phones, tablets, curling iron, etc. it is a reallyl nice thing to have.

The hotel is an easy walk to the Jaffa Gate into the Old City of Jerusalem. I was there during the recent riots (left just before the escalation to missile firing) and never felt anything but safe in the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: Some rooms have huge standing showers while others had tubs. If the difference is important to you...

We had a 6 day stay at the Mamilla and it was truly wonderful.

You cannot get better than the Mamilla hotel. Gorgeous world class design, stunning roof top patio, nice sized rooms. Fabulous breakfast.

And then there is the service. The "Hosts" (concierges) are fantastic. So helpful. The front desk staff is equally amazing.

Great hotel

Traveled with my wife, son and mom and stayed for 6 days. We are seasoned travelers. Best location in Jerusalem and beautiful new looking hotel. Very accomodating staff, especially the front desk. Mohammed, the manager, went out of his way on a few occasions. We had access to the lounge which was nice at the end of a long day of sightseeing (cocktails, other drinks and snacks). Included breakfast was delicious, and the rooftop restaurant had good food and amazing views of the old city. We originally booked this as the King David was sold out, but after walking through that hotel (which looked nice) I definitely don't feel like we missed out...and Mamilla is in a better location for less money! Highly recemmended.

After seeing this hotel and its location on our last trip to Jerusalem we decided to give it a try and were not disappointed. The service was outstanding. We had many questions since we were in the country during the Gaza situation, and the staff were nothing but excellent. The Boutique hotel is well appointed with a mix of old world materials with modern elements. The rooms are modern both in design and furnishings. If you don't like modern design, this is not the place for you! There are no balconies, but let me tell you the pros.

1) large bathrooms with a soaking tub

2) incredible location ! On the mamilla mall, and a heartbeat away from the old city as well as excellent restaurants within walking distance. Location , location !

3) the best roof top view from their roof top bar in Jerusalem !

4) free access to a fantastic gym with all equipment you need plus numerous workout classes.

5) Delightful buffet breakfast and service. We had the package which included breakfast.

6) Nice business center.

Cons;

1) Bad lighting in bathroom. The management told us that they are in the process of improving, and lacking counter space in the bathroom. That is why I gave room 3 stars. We had an executive room which is a must if you need space. It had a sofa to spread out items or relax on.

2) An indoor, dark pool. Some won't mind, but it is not picturesque environment. The entire pool area and walls are covered with blue tiles so the acoustics are terrible! No
Relaxing there. If there is even one child in the pool the noise levels reverberates. They do have a small sun deck on the roof.

Given all the pros and cons, we love this boutique hotel which is now our first choice while in Jerusalem.

This hotel was beautiful and ultra modern. Complimentary water every day was very nice. During my stay, missiles were shot from Gaza into the Jerusalem. On the first occasion,I went down to the lobby and the staff were calm, as they ushered us into a stairwell. On the second occasion, I was in my room and found the stairwell on my floor. Again, the staff were wonderful, they even had drinks for us.
The roof top deck is beautiful. Complimentary bottled water is nice. The main dining room has beautiful ambience and inside/outside seating. Complimentary newspapers was nice too.
The doors to the room are odd. When you think you should push, you need to pull.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view. Mine did not. It was a let down.

I was in Jerusalem for a family event during a stressful week. The location of the hotel is central to everything, by foot or by cab. The rooms are comfortable, the bathrooms very upscale and the breakfasts are ample. The concierge staff is very young but friendly and helpful. They made reservations smoothly and when necessary even canceled them with no fuss or penalty. The spa is lovely and the rooftop restaurant was relaxing. The food was tasty. My only quibble is that the wait staff, like the general staff is very young and need to raise their game a bit to improve customer service for this price point. Also the hotel should provide wifi in all it's areas including the lobby and the roof. It was very spotty. And finally, when you arrive they try to 'upgrade' you to a larger room for 100/night. As I was rather tired from a long flight I agreed as the room was already rather expensive. I wish I hadn't as I don't think it was worth the fee. And Unless it's a free upgrade, it's not really an upgrade. It's just selling you a more expensive product. But in general, if you can't get into the king David, this is a nice place to stay in Jerusalem.

I was staying in the hotel with my wife in the beginning of July 2014 for 2 nights.
I must say that despite the fact there are no balconies, the room was amazing: New, clean, big, great bathroom facilities (transparent shower, nice!).
The view from the rooftop restaurant - exhilarating !
Breakfast was amazing, though Kosher.
As I'm not from Jerusalem, I don't know the city that well (to say the least) and the staff of the front desk where extremely helpful, recommended a great restaurant and chique bar!
Especially I must commend and compliment Linoy from the concierge: Such a lovely young lady, smiles all the time, talkative and intelligent. She gave us great recommendations and helped us with what stuff to do. Thanks Linoy (also for the lovely short-history lesson)! :)

A few drawbacks - There's no outside pool, no free parking (sucks), Wi-Fi signal goes on and off (let's try using more routers eh?)

Bottom line - Great Place, great service, great food. I'd definitely come back.
