The staff serving breakfast and at from desk were vry helpful and friendly!
Hotel is about ten minute walk from herod's gate....or twenty from Jaffa gate, which is where I usually went.

Could use a fan in shower, but other than that, really good hotel. Was with group, so not sure of price or value...

Room Tip: Not sure....

We arrived on a Sherut from Tel Aviv around 8am and had booked a room for our arrival. The helpful and friendly receptionist showed us to breakfast and our room was ready for a much needed rest.

We booked a superior double room and for the price it is excellent. Small HD TV, en suite with a good hot shower and a large double bed. There is a balcony to sit on, thick curtains to block out the light and the road, whilst a little noisy at rush hour, is calm otherwise.

I'm not sure what people were expecting regarding the area and can't fathom the bad reviews. We are a UK couple and feel very safe all over jerusalem. We're a 5 minute walk to the old city and there are shops and an atm close by. The people are friendly and we felt no tension.

The receptionist was helpful in directing us to the Temple Mount and they had information about all the tours we'd booked in advance (see our other reviews for the company we used). She even asked how our trip was when we got back.

The restaurant staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. Coffee as soon as you sit down and they even served us our first dinner course when it's meant to be a buffet! Breakfast is basic but tasty with olives, cheeses, pastries, cooked foods, yoghurts and fruits etc. Dinner is extra but at only 70NIS (around £10) it's great value, with a buffet of hot foods spanning meat, fish and veg.

There is a bar and a roof top terrace to sit on with a few beers and a naughty cigarette.

We chose the place based on price mainly and cannot fault it at all. It's not a 5* by any stretch of the imagination, but you're not paying for that. We've 3 more days here yet and are incredibly happy with our choice.

We'd definitely recommend staying here. There is no need to worry about the area and the people are even happy to lend you their phone or give you information if you're lost!

Stayed here with a group for 4 nights. Incredibly friendly, pleasant staff, particularly the lovely man in the souvenir shop. Comfortable bed - nice and firm how I like it - good food with plenty of choice, reaonable rates at the bar.
Didn't like the area - it was fine as we all went out to the coach every day, and when we did go on foot, we went in small groups; but as a single female I wouldn't feel safe on my own. The window overlooked a main street, but it wasn't noisy because the curtains and double glazing were good. I really enjoyed my stay.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms faced the front; ones with balconies are nicer, but you wouldn't want to s...

We stayed here for 3 nights and love our stay here a lot. This hotel is situated in the Muslim area and only 10-15 min walk to the old city. The receptionists and waiters are all very nice especially the lovely lady Ola. She has helped us booking the bus to Eilat, tour to Petra as well as shuttle to airport. Wifi is everywhere within this hotel. The room is clean and of decent size and with a little balcony. You can go up to the roof for panorama view of the city. They even serve fruits during our stay. Overall speaking, much better than our another stay in Ramada.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with balcony.

It's a cheaper hotel around and you get all the basics as tourists in Jerusalem don't stay in hotels all day but only go there to sleep n shower so that is ideal for that..the staff are very wonderful, friendly, helpful hands up. The room is adequate for sleeping, showering and storing your luggage. Walking distance to the old city. The location of the hotel is not the best though, but not a big put off. Streets seem to be safe we took walks at night with no problems. The cooked breakfast is the same all year round, scrambled eggs, sausages, baby tomatoes, mushroom for cooked breakfast then veg , and other bits for sandwiches like cheese or Salami. To be frank if you like variety by day 3 you will be fed up, I was. Blankets a bit rough and carpet and chairs in our room had too many stains hard to ignore. Sometimes the cleaning was not great as the table tops were untouched sometimes it was fine. The reason I would recommend this hotel or I would come back is the fact that if you are not fussy you will feel at home. Internet is free and fast. Enjoyed my Skype calls.
