Very good location - few steps from Herod's Gate and Damascus Gate. Close to Bus station to bus going to Betlehem. Rooms big and clean. Dining room very big. Food was good and big variety of things to eat. Wonderful view from a terrace.

Can't say enough about the service - friendly and attentive. Let us check in early and helped book us on tours over the next couple of days. Rooms are minimal but if you plan to spend all day touring around it's all you need.

Initial attraction of hotel is its location in East Jerusalem. From Hotel can walk to most points in East Jerusalem and old walled city including Herod's Gate, Damascus Gate and Garden Tomb all about 10 minutes away.
The hotel itself has been refurbished in recent years with all parts of Hotel including bedrooms of a high standard. Breakfast and evening meal are both buffet style with wide choice and well presented. The Hotel staff are all friendly and easily approachable and offer good service in restaurant, reception and bar lobby areas. The Hotel is well maintained and very clean and tidy. Our own bedroom had balcony wth views towards old city whilst there is a roof top seated area which gives panoramic views around the hotel.
Hotel residents included those like ourselves staying a week or so whilst others stayed a few nights as part of their wider tour of The Holy Land.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a base wothin East Jerusalem.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with balcony looking towards ols walled city of Jerusalem.

Don't be fooled by the look from the outside. The lobby is surprisingly nice and clean with plenty of seats and tables for drinks, coffee or tea, light snacks, relaxation and working on laptops and tablets. Free wi-fi too and very good connectivity. Very nice, clean and comfortable dining rooms, meeting room, WC and bedrooms. Personnel are very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast and dinner were included in our package and the foods are delicious. Location is very convenient to transportation and within a walking distance to the Old Jerusalem's gates.
It is a great place to stay in Jerusalem!
I will recommend this hotel to my pilgrim friends and will definitely stay again when I return to the Holy Land.

We stayed 5 nites at this hotel and found it to be very clean, comfortable and conveniently located about a 10-15 minute walk to Herod's Gate or Damascus Gate. The staff was very friendly and the room rate included a full breakfast buffet of Middle Eastern and traditional food. From the Damascus Gate, you can take the light rail to the new area of Jerusalem, Central Bus Station, Mechane Yehuda market, etc.

stayed at this hotel in april last year, only got round to doing a review now.
great hotel. clean, and all the people at the reception desk are very polite and friendly.
negatives: are hotel is a bit dated, room service is hard to get hold of, no kettle for tea in the morning. i would prefer to be closer to Al-Aqsa mosque. but only a 10 min walk there.
positives: fantastic breakfast buffet. lots and lots of items. roof-top terrace.

The hotel manager Mr Dahdal and restaurant manager Mr Jamal (spelling?) were very accomodating and helpful. Great personal service. They welcome us with drinks, assisted well with all of our needs. Great food! The location is perfect, walking distance to Old City Jerusalem. It was my 2nd time staying there and will definitely go back again. Had a bday party on our last day with excellent cake and champagne. Highly recommended!
