The food is okay, not great maybe, but really fine. The setting is very, very nice, and the staff is really friendly. Prices are okay. Nice experience!

Masary has something in common with all other restaurants located on Emek Refaim, in the heart of the German Colony: the food is not tasty. Like more or less all its rivals on the street, meals are vaguely inspired from Italian cuisine, but without any creativity. The staff is friendly but either overwhelemed, or amateur. There is not even a real outdoor area where one can sit. This is a place one should only go to for some quick bite... but it's not really worth the price. I fail to understand why no restaurant in posh, expensive Emek Refaim street takes the time to hire a gourmet chef, the likes of which you find in so many other neighborhoods.

First of all, the name is deceptive - there is nothing Czech whatsoever about this restaurant. The food was overcooked, with incredible amount of salt, and even traditional Israeli salad boring and plain. The waitress was totally incompetent, did not know the fish she was serving and the content of other dishes; we had to send one back to the kitchen. The soup tasted like any canned junk plus equal volume of salt. On top of all this, it seems to be one of the most expensive restaurant in the area of German Colony. There was no atmosphere to speak about and no place to park.

Masaryk is a great restaurant. The menu is varied, the food is fresh and delicious and the restaurant is clean. The wait staff and the management are bi-lingual, helpful and friendly. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are more than ample. Breakfast at Masaryk is a favorite of mine. The fish is outstanding, cooked in unusual ways. The soups are just what's needed on a cold day. It's a great place to go with friends and family. Don't miss it.
