Reviewed 31 August 2014

very refreshing to find something small,an actual bed and breakfast that does not cost an arm and a leg! although the room could have done with doing up and modernising a bit- it was clean and perfectly adequate. breakfast was delicious. biggest bonus- we got to park right outside front door. position was great for us. there should be more places like this in Israel. and the staff were very helpful.

Room Tip: we did not have a balcony room- i would suggest asking for one.

At the Eden, you are greeted with a smile. The whole hotel is spotless. Our room was clean, and smelled lovely. We had a very nice balcony, and the shower in the bathroom was INCREDIBLE. If you want some peace and quiet in Jerusalem, the tranquility of the Eden will not disappoint. Enjoy the luxurious breakfast and the beautiful surroundings of the hotel. We can't wait to come back!

And if it is your first time in Jerusalem, don't forget to check out the Haas Promendate. It is fairly close to the hotel and is one of the most breathtaking sights in the entire Middle East.

Quiet, clean small "family" hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. The reception "clerk" ensured that our asks during the booking were fulfilled, suggested us the "culture" program and when we said that we are planning to go to Museum of Israel - informed us that hotel gives the discount, gave us instructions how to arrive to the places of our interesting. Also during the breakfast and at leaving the staff was smiley and interesting to give us the best service.
The breakfast is enough - 7-8 kinds of different non-regular and very tasty salads, some kinds of cheese, eggs, bread, fruits, juice, tea an coffee. The hotel has a garden, and it was really good option to have the breakfast under the shadow of the trees.
The twin room is small, but clean, equipped with air conditioning. Due to the quite surrounding it was very pleasure to open the window at the night to receive the nature air.
The note is that the restroom is equipped very humble - there was not a shampoo, only soap, the aid shelf was broken and made a little difficult the using with the shower. The good advantage is that there is a "tea and coffee" set in the room. It was very pleasure after the afternoon sleep and before the long walk to have "immediate" cap of coffee. The hotel is located some kilometers from the center of old Jerusalem, in the living quite area. There is a good public transportation and also a pleasant walk down the hill to the old city. We are very satisfied with the staying in the hotel and will recommend to those that are interesting to be in quite friendly serviceable place.

Having just returned home from our third most enjoyable visit to the Eden Jerusalem Hotel since 2012, I can say without any hesitation that myself and my family had a most wonderful time. From our experience we can reassure those planning to come to Israel that there is no need to cancel or defer their visit. We arrived in on Tuesday 29 July which was reported to be the worst day yet in the current crisis, but to us as tourists we saw nothing untoward between our time of arrival on that day and our departure from Israel on 9 August. The passage through the airport after arrival was pleasant , comfortable and totally normal and the journey by road to Jerusalem was just as it was on every previous visit we have made to Israel. We visited the Old City every day and everything was good; we travelled to the Galilee region and Golan Heights and saw nothing that made us feel uneasy. We also went to Tel Aviv which was its usual vibrant self, with people lying on the beach and swimming in the sea.

We actually feel safer in Israel than in any other country because of the extreme efficiency of the security forces and phenomenal protection system operated by Israel , and I believe that as a result we could not visit a safer place. If I had for one moment thought there was any danger, I would not have put my family at risk. Israel needs visitors and I am proud that we went and did not allow our decision to be swayed by the biased news reports we were hearing each day before we travelled.

We used our time to visit our favourite holy sites in Jerusalem – the Garden Tomb, Gethsemane, the Western Wall, Mount Zion and St. Peter’s, to name but a few. As we travelled to these places, we saw no unrest or hostility in any of the localities of East Jerusalem that we would have had to pass through to visit some of them. A pilgrim can feel safe in dear Jerusalem wherever they decide they want to go and I say that without hesitation
Our stay at the Eden Jerusalem Hotel was of the usual exemplary standard this dear family provides, with Line and Yuval always going out of their way to ensure we were happy and comfortable. It is so nice to see the regard they have for their staff who are so dedicated in everything they do. The staff attend to the rooms very efficiently and keep the rich breakfast buffet levels constantly replenished with every delightful breakfast delicacy on display that one could wish for.

One can enjoy this lovely breakfast either in the bright area inside the hotel or in the pretty garden area outside which is furnished with tables and chairs. The hotel’s location in a quiet residential neighbourhood is ideal as the journey to the Old City takes between five and ten minutes and the well-equipped / reasonably price family apartment we occupied – two bedrooms with a bathroom and a balcony gave us plenty of space for the four of us for the eleven nights we stayed at the hotel. And it was so convenient having free wifi.

I recommend most strongly a visit to Israel, to Jerusalem and to the Eden Jerusalem Hotel

Quiet, clean, and well-maintained small hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, from the time of booking and throughout the stay. It's a mile or so from the center of old Jerusalem, but there's good public transportation and also a pleasant walk down the hill to the old city. After a full day of exploring Jerusalem, it was nice to get away from that hustle and bustle and be in an actual neighborhood. I would recommend the hotel to others.

The hotel is situated in the living block 3 small blocks from the big road. Quiet place, but you need to drive your car (where do you leave it in the downtown?) or use the public transportation. The last option is good in Jerusalem, I recommend it.
Breakfast is typical for Israel, but better than usually in Israely hotels. Wlaking out with the breakfast to seat under pines near hotel in a small yard is a pleasure.
Rooms are small, but manageable. Kitchenette is a plus. The tools in the room are mostly working. Every thing is clean, including the linen. Some elements are wored out, but not to the deppressing degree.
The hotel display the TripAdvisor badge, but I am not sure that it worth the distingueshed rank
Staff is good.
