This is where local artists meet their parents and other funding sources to drink morning coffee in a (usually) relaxed atmosphere. The coffee is delicious and the food also is good, especially the salads and soups.

Caffit is in the heart of the Moshava Germanit (German Colony), a lively area with a fascinating history, plenty of grocery and wine shops, some great places for ice cream, and boutiques selling mostly high end souvenirs, clothing, and jewelry. It's not on the tourist trail, so you'll see mostly locals, virtually all of whom speak English (many professors, musicians, and writers live in and around the Moshava).

This restaurant is not the best choice if you're looking for a romantic spot. The noise level isn't bad, but the tables are so close together that the wait staff sometimes has a hard time navigating the path from counter to client. It's nevertheless a bright and airy place, and if the waiters and waitresses are not exactly friendly, they're certainly not unpleasant, and they know what they're doing.

Did not expect this heat in Jerusalem but after a very long walk we stopped into.caffit. Their iced coffee slush is delicious and refreshing. We just had drinks but it was a very nice experience and all the food that was served around us looked yummy

We ended up filling a room with all of us so it was like a private event! The salad was soooo good. I shared their signature salad with asparagus with a friend. Also ordered the roasted cauliflower. Portions were large. Service was slow but we were having fun so no worries.

We enjoyed greek salads- crisp veggies and plenty of creamy feta! Cappuccinos were also delicious. Service was poor, she forgot water and our take out request but overseeing manager was nice to step in and assist.

My husband and I had dinner at Caffit during a visit to Jerusalem. We waited for over half an hour for one of our entrees and received no apology. We were largely ignored (no checking on our dinner or offering a second drink) despite a large staff largely standing around. No quality of the overpriced food could make up for the horrble service. What on earth was the Lonely Planet travel guide thinking recommending this place?
