This is where local artists meet their parents and other funding sources to drink morning coffee in a (usually) relaxed atmosphere. The coffee is delicious and the food also is good, especially the salads and soups.
Caffit is in the heart of the Moshava Germanit (German Colony), a lively area with a fascinating history, plenty of grocery and wine shops, some great places for ice cream, and boutiques selling mostly high end souvenirs, clothing, and jewelry. It's not on the tourist trail, so you'll see mostly locals, virtually all of whom speak English (many professors, musicians, and writers live in and around the Moshava).
This restaurant is not the best choice if you're looking for a romantic spot. The noise level isn't bad, but the tables are so close together that the wait staff sometimes has a hard time navigating the path from counter to client. It's nevertheless a bright and airy place, and if the waiters and waitresses are not exactly friendly, they're certainly not unpleasant, and they know what they're doing.
