The locals tell me that Machneyuda deserves the accolades it is receiving in Jerusalem and that is about the most successful restaurant in Jerusalem.
The restaurant was recommended by a wine store around the corner to try the Tapas, or small plate, outpost that is across the street. Three chefs dishing out great portions of cold dishes (artichokes in olive oil, basil with parmesan cheese or raw Yellow Fin toro and chopped with lemon, spices on a bed of mango), as well as hot (rib-eye steaks, filet, etc.). Great atmosphere, full bar and fantastic food reasonably priced. Without tip we spent (for 2) $70 at lunch and ate VERY well.
