Al Nasser is on a busy street in the old city of Jerusalem, though it is much quieter in the evening. The restaurant is well-appointed inside, though the place settings, dishes and utensils are quite basic. It is therefore perfect for students, families with kids or just a simple meal in a place where you can talk. I like the big internal fountain decorated with fresh fruit.
I had chicken tikka, which was cooked properly, and shared a number of starters and side-dishes with colleagues. Everyone was happy with what they received. The food was straight-forward, and much cheaper than what you will find in the fancier restaurants of Jerusalem. No alcohol, of course.
