“Nice Hotel in a Great Location”
Reviewed 20 March 2014

This was our second stay at this lovely small hotel just a short block off Ben Yehuda Street. Our room included a small kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave. The staff was always helpful and accommodating. The beds were some of the most comfortable hotel beds we've ever experienced.
It's located an easy walk from the Old City and the Souk (a large marketplace for all your cooking needs, from mounds of fresh strawberries to fish).
The entrance is not fancy and may be a little hard to find.
When we get back to Jerusalem, we would certainly stay again.

We stayed in City Center Suites in Jerusalem for 3 nights. The place is located very centrally, at a busy King George Street with several bus lines and several steps from Jaffa Street with the modern tramway line. It is also very near Ben Yehuda street (a pedestrian-only area). There are plenty of shops and cafes in the area (including a 24/7 convenience store at Ben Yehuda St.). The reception is at King George St 17. It was mentioned to us that there is no lift in this wing, but our room was in the other wing with a separate entrance (Histadrut St.), and there was a small lift (with several steps leading to it from the entrance). We had a large and high room with a twin bed plus a sofa which was made the third bed (there were 3 of us), a kitchenette and a bathroom. The kitchenette was properly equipped with pots, cutlery, glasses etc. It had a bit outdated cooker (two heating plates; something was wrong with them, because when we tried it, the fuses went out; but later we managed to use it - it was on the last morning so we only reported it while leaving). There was a large enough fridge, a sink, an electric kettle, and a microwave. On the first day one of the lights in the room did not work, we reported it and it was repaired very soon. The TV was not working very well - the remote control was not 100% operational and the sound level was too low; it was reported but it seems it was a general transient problem at the property. The bathroom was OK: a bathtub with shower, sink, cupboard with mirror, a separate makeup mirror and wc. The only comment is that there were no stoppers to bathtub or sink. Soap and shampoo were provided. Towels were changed daily. There was a telephone in the room. Wifi was free and worked OK.
We arrived by car and we should have asked beforehands about the parking. It is announced the hotel has no own parking, but in fact they do have a deal with a parking located not very far away, however after one of us dropped the rest of the party at the hotel door, she parked at the nearest parking she could find, and that one was very expensive and paid hourly (while the one "associated" with the hotel is paid daily and the price is acceptable). King George Street is allowed only to public transport and taxis (...but we did not know it until the last day...).
The place is indeed noisy, especially when you open the window; people whose sleep is disturbed by typical street noise should reconsider their choice. (I sleep very well :-)). We had a very bad weather - it was cold and rainy - and the sliding balcony window is not 100% hermetic even if closed, so it was a bit cool to sit by it at the table.
The receptionist was very nice and friendly. All in all, I am satisfied with this stay.

Just a perfect place to stay in Jerusalem. Staff is very nice, friendly and helpful. Lots of restaurants, shops, drugstores near the hotel. Old City is about 10 minutes walking. The only thing that could be better was the water temperature in the shower. The shower water was cold most of the time. But everything was perfect and I´d stay again at City Center!

Staff is helpful and nice, the rooms clean and tidy. But the situation next to King George St brings a lot of noise even during the night. Even with windows shut and air conditioning on, it's not so easy to catch any sleep. On the whole, the place is ok. But keep it mind it's not suitable for highly strung people or the elderly.

Room Tip: Check on the map where the hotel is located, don't take the advert all that literally.

Right next to Ben Yehuda pedestrian street, next to everything in beautiful Jersualem, within walking distance to the Old City. A very clean place, good beds and good price. Very kind receptionist, able to answer all the questions and solve problems. The only thing lacking is a good israeli breakfast, the hotel do not provide meals, but the room has a small kitchenette.

Room Tip: Eat Falafel or Shwarma at Moshiko in Ben Yehuda the best falafel in town, Go around the little stree...

Wonderful large spacious rooms, the location couldn't be better for getting around Jerusalem with no taxis. It was just a minutes walk from the tram line! The staff are very friendly and welcoming with great suggestions. We Would definitely come back!
