Good stuff -
Oozes history and elegance. Superb location. amazing breakfast. Outstanding service. Excellent swimming pool. Very comfortable beds.
Average stuff -
Average room sizes although quite adequate
Poor stuff-
No free wifi access. Pathetic for a hotel of this class. However cross the road to the YMCA balcony for free access

Room Tip: delux - front or back ok

Jerusalem is a magic city in many ways but the hotels do not meet the highest standards yet. In that respect, King David is a luxury palace with a flavour of the 60-70's. The design is a bit dated, the staff is not always putting attention to details but we shall forgive these as the overall context is definetely charming. The pool and the garden offer peace and calm that one appreciates when returning from the city. The location and the view to the Old City are perfect. The room was very comfortable.

This hotel is a special one. While the rooms are not the most luxurious I've experienced (and certainly not the largest), they are lovely and elegant and clean. The staff is wonderful and the concierges friendly and helpful. And the breakfast is something I'm still thinking about a week after the fact. Beyond that, though, spending the night in such a historic place is magical. Even if you don't stay here, have a cocktail on the veranda and soak in the gorgeous Old City views.

This is the place to stay if you are looking for 5 star service in Jersusalem. Rooms are well appointed, and the service is beyond compare!! Breakfast is your typical Israeli breakfast, and you can make special orders at any time. But what I cannot understand is why you do not get free high speed internet service included with your room. Rooms run over $500.00 per night, but yet they charge you for internet. Do me a favor, charge an extra $5.00 a night and include internet. Charging for internet is like charging for the water that you use to flush the toilet. In this day and age, and for this caliber of hotel to charge is crazy. The Hampton Inn @ JKF offers free high speed internet, and the King David doesn't. Come on Guys!!!!

Room Tip: If you can get an old city view, second floor is perfect. Try to get a room with balconey.

We have stayed in the King David a number of times in the past and have always found that it is a special experience. The history of the hotel is preserved with its wonderful interior whilst the bedrooms have been updated and if you have an old city view, provide a unique sight. the staff are friendly and the pool area has been modernised and is an oasis of calm in an otherwise bustling city with plenty of space to sit peacefully.
Best of all is sitting on the balcony overlooking the old city and enjoying a drink.

The hotel is beautiful with lots of tradition. The staff & customer service is excellent. Food is great! Only negative is that the room floor should have been cleaned better. For the price, the room should be spotless.
