The King David Jerusalem lives up to its expectations. My New City view room was spacious and well appointed. The breakfast buffet is absolutely fantastic, every kind of food imaginable. The wait staff for the most part, was friendly and accommodating. I would highly recommend staying at this 5 star hotel. It spoiled us for the rest our trip!

Beautiful classic hotel with large, beautiful rooms. You want for nothing at this hotel....breakfast is pretty amazing and the staff are really lovely. The lounge has a homely feeling about it with lots of activity ....all In all a really nice hotel

Room Tip: You have to face the old city....no negotiation !

Just spent another few days at the King David in Jerusalem.
New hotels may come and go, some very good, but there is only one King David!
Waldorf Astoria has just opened nearby, seemed very nice, somewhat flashy, but still would not persuade me to change from King David.
From the moment we arrived the check in was faultless, and an example of how it should be, but often is not in many hotels throughout the world. Upgraded to an Old City view. How wonderful is that?
Food was excellent, service first class, and the swimming pool and gardens exceptional.
If you are thinking of hotels in Jerusalem, and are not on a tight budget, then just go for the King David. What's not to like!!

This Hotel is special and beautiful with so much history as are the Rooms with great views. The pool area is also beautiful but that's where it ends. Service and food including the bar service very disappointing I'm afraid. Internet although free is a waste of time!

Thank you for posting a review of your recent stay at The King David. We are delighted to read that you admire our hotel's spacious pool and garden area, as well as the magnificent views from our guest rooms, however we are concerned that your are not completely satisfied with the services you received at our other facilities. While by no means an excuse for less than impeccable service, it is worthwhile to mention that your stay with us was during the Passover season which is when our hotel is at its full capacity. It is possible that we were not able to deliver food or beverages as quickly as you are accustomed to due to the unprecedented influx of guests at the very moment you dined. We strive to maintain a high level of service even during the high season, yet we realize that there are always lessons to be learned. Additionally, shortly after your visit, we increased our WiFi speed tri-fold, so to ensure guests will now be guaranteed ample bandwidth. While it might be late to rectify your experience, we hope that you will have the chance to enjoy authentic King David service quality, and we invite you to return in the near future for such an occasion.

Sincerely,

Joshua Merl

I have stayed in King David Jerusalem many times in the last 10 years. This hotel is completely relying on its history. It is in need of a serious renovation. The "Hollywood Blvd." names in the lobby cannot make up for:
- musty smelling showers
- mediocre restaurants
- snail speed internet
- showers that will alternate between burning hot and cold
- small slow elevators
- tiny gym
- etc.
Definitely not worth $400+ per night. Check Mamilla and Waldorf Astoria hotels - both 5 minutes walk from King David.

Dear MichaelP123,

Thank you for contributing a review of your recent stay at The King David Hotel. Feedback from our valued guests is just one channel from which we are able to monitor our performance. We are honored by your loyalty to the King David Hotel for all these years and are disappointed to hear if any factors have let us down in recent visits. This year, adding complimentary WiFi in all areas of the hotel, was just another step towards listening to our guest's requests and adding extra value of service. As of a few days ago, the internet speed has been doubled, and soon will have increased tri-fold in order to ensure that guests are guaranteed high speed internet even during the busiest of seasons.

Throughout the hotel, every effort is made to ensure the highest levels of guest experience at all times, so thankfully, comments similar to yours with regards to showers, elevators, and fitness center are not common; this factor notwithstanding, your observations have been investigated and discussed in a bid to ensure of no further recurrences of this nature, your opinion is very important to us.

Lastly, while every hotel can only hope to operate in a perfect manner, I can assure you that our team works tirelessly to provide the best services for our guests, constantly updating and maintaining all public spaces and guest rooms. For us, it is a great disappointment if we have not granted you the full satisfaction that you rightly deserve, and we are eager to welcome you back to The King David again in the near future so that you may consider yourself once again to be one of our proud guests.

Sincerely,

Joshua Merl

Beautiful hotel and facilities.

Worst concierge ever, extremely rude and condescending. No housekeeping practically (we stayed four nights and even when checking out the rubbish from the first day remained, NO HOUSEKEEPING apart from making the bed).

Very nice welcome on behalf of Greg. Good breakfast too.

For such a beautiful place and extravagant price, service is terrible and the stay wasn't as expected..
