This is a large western style hotel not very far from the old city. I spent a night here and the rooms were very clean and modern, beautifully decorated. They also have a wonderful restaurant, the food was most excellent. The staff was very courteous and aim to please.

My only disdain was for having to pay for internet access. They really should make this available for free. They also have coin operated computers in the lobby. BEWARE! Don't use them, they don't work very well!!! Even the small boutique hotels provide not only free access but have the computer in the kiosk to use for FREE. Otherwise you will be very satisfied as we were.

We stayed just one night in this hotel and it was a pleasant experience. As you enter the lobby you get the feeling of largeness. Lots of activity when we arrived as there was a tour group at check in. We were processed and in our room with some speed which we appreciated. The room was larger than I expected. The windows were so dirty it was hard to see the view however. But this was the only negative. The restaurant buffet breakfast which was part of the price was outstanding and the service was excellent. There are a number of shops in the hotel and they all seemed to be nicely stocked with Israels finest. The location of the hotel in East Jerusalem which means the streets outside are a bit rougher but its totally safe and an easy walk to the old city through the Damascus gate. Value for money? Yes for sure.

We recently stayed for three nights at the Leonardo Plaza in Jerusalem. This is at least the fourth...maybe fifth time staying at this wonderful hotel The hotel common areas are beautiful and the rooms are nicely decorated, very clean and well kept. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted warmly by all the staff especially Shlomo the Head Porter. Shlomo goes out of his way to make you feel welcome, at home, and is ready to assist you with any need you may have. He is a joy to all who have the privilege to meet him. The managers and front desk staff are very polite and attentive to every need, the business center is comfortable and well equipped. The meals were excellent and the dining area is beautiful. The location is just perfect, easy walk to the Old City, Mamilla Mall, Ben Yehuda St., with a beautiful park just behind the hotel. I would not hesitate to highly recommend this hotel and absolutely plan to stay here in the future!

Room Tip: Old City side rooms are the best!

Arriving at the hotel at 7pm,our tour party was unable to use our rooms till 8pm+ This was due to people staying on, so dont arrive on a saturday!! The hotel was busy and central. Easy to walk into the old town in30mins. My room was on the 21st floor, so the view was good.Very friendly staff. The restaurant and food was adequate. Could have had a little more choice on the hot main courses. The salad bar was very good. Liked the elevators, quick and easy to use. Mainly used by americans on pilgimages, very interesting.

Room Tip: 20 floor and up fabulous views

While the hotel's interior is nice looking, there is room for improvement
Elevators using computer queing is a drag.
One night lamp unusuable
Expect to hear constant traffic from King George Street.
Cheezy welcome in room: 3 green apples; ridiculous price for extra dinner reservations.
No carrot salad at breakfast boufet but excellent selection of gourmet cheeses.
For Sabbath observers, no minimal refreshments, e.g. hot water and a little cake. Other less presumptuous hotels in Israel provide that.
Nonetheless, the view from the 16th floor where we stayed was magnificent.

Room Tip: Ask for 16th floor facing Old City of JSLM
