We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights, after our tour ended. (During the tour, we stayed in the Leonardo Tower Hotel in Jerusalem, which was a big disappointment.) The Dan Panorama was attractive and comfortable, and felt safe. Our Superior room with two beds was quiet and clean, with two pillows on each bed, extra blankets and terry cloth robes and slippers in the closet. Breakfast buffet had great variety, quantity and quality (except no hot food on Shabbat). The hotel has an excellent location - just a 15 minute walk to a shopping mall, and the shopping mall exits across from the Jaffa Gate to the Old City. The tram stops outside the hotel. Across the street from the hotel is a superb restaurant "Paradiso" -- it was so good that we ate there 3 nights. The hotel has a large and comfortable lobby with free WiFi. Three computers in the basement at 30 NIS (about $7) for 30 minutes. Guest Service Manager Natalie walked through breakfast room twice during our stay, and had a very nice manner, great tourist tips, and was genuinely helpful when we thought our departure was threatened by an airport strike. Mazal at the front desk was great.

Room Tip: Superior Room is a good value - weekend reservations can be difficult, because Israeli families may...

We stayed for 6 nights and had an enjoyabe stay. The room (superior) was a nice size, good size bathrooms. The buffet breakfasts had tons of foods...cereals, salads, fruit, eggs, museli, pastries...except Shabbat (Saturday) when there was no hot foods. The hotel staff was very helpful. The location was very handy...15 minute walk to the Old City, or the tram stop, or to German Colony.

We had two rooms in this well known hotel, which is close to the Old City and within walking distance to major sights. The reception is rather sparse but quite friendly and helpful, and the bar area has free wifi which was a hit with kids. Rooms were OK, beds not great but reasonably comfortable.

Service in the restaurant is average although the Israeli breakfasts were outstanding and plentiful. Service in the bar area almost non existent!

Pool area was OK but this dye ran off on the kids hands and was difficult to remove. Also, it closed at 5PM which was odd given that the sun didn't set for two hours and it was beautiful outside. This is a really good base in which to explore Jerusalem but if you are looking for an outstanding service, I would recommend King David or any of the other boutique hotels now sprouting up in Jerusalem.

When I first got here there was one person at the desk named Mazal and she was very good, pleasant. She had manners and was nice. Someone else named Corrine I think checked her manners at the front door. Rude, not helpful like I was an inconvenience to her. I was supposedly upgraded in my room selection but I wouldn't call it that. If that was an upgrade what was a regular room? The drinking glass that was there the first day, disappeared on the 2nd never to be seen in 5 days. The window handle is broken so the window doesn't close and the botttom hinge on the window is broken so the window is ready to fall out. I didn't know i was on a smoking floor and Friday night I woke up and it seemed like someone was smoking right outside my room blowing the smoke INTO my room. Horrible! I was told Friday night dinner was included and I think I paid a higher price only to get to dinner and they said it would be $60.00 US Dollars for Friday night dinner. Some of the hosts in the dining room have an attitude like we are bothering them. Just be prepared. Ask for non smoking if you desire. My window looks onto the roof next door. Nothing to see!

Room Tip: Ask for non smoking. Ask for a view. If Shomer Shabbos ask for a room closer to the ground so you...

The lobby of the hotel is lovely and the staff is very helpful/respectful and knowledgeable.

Breakfast each morning is expansive and amazing.

The rooms are a little shabby and dated. They could use some updating.

The hotel is well positioned within walking distance to the Old City, restaurants and markets. The rooms are tired-looking and only average size. The breakfast buffet is very good but the staff working there are inexpressive - no smiles or 'good morning' to make you feel welcome there.
