“2nd visit but standards have slipped”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 December 2013

We visited the Dan Panorama for one week from 25 November. This was our second visit to this hotel but I was a little disappointed this time. Firstly the positives - the hotel is ideally placed for all sights and attractions. Free car parking under the hotel was very useful. Staff were generally friendly and helpful with one or two surly exceptions on Reception. Staff in the bar area were particularly friendly and helpful.

However - the hotel is in the course of being refurbished which created significant early morning noise. One of the attractions for us from our visit last time was the fantastic roof top swimming pool, however, we were very disappointed to find this closed (from the end of October) despite the beautiful weather. Room - the room was very tired and in urgent need of refurbishment and we did wonder whether we were given this room given the low price we paid via an internet site. The room was cleaned daily although the standard of cleaning was poor, particularly in the bathroom. Breakfast was good with the variety of a typical Israeli breakfast - however, I was appalled that cutlery was unclean, tables that had been used were left uncleared for very considerable periods of time with uneaten food making for an unedifying sight. Mess on the floor reamined there. There were simply not enough staff in the restaurant. We did have a shabbat meal on the Friday evening which was good, although it was expensive at IS230 per head. Free wi-fi is available in the crowded lobby area although wi-fi in the room at $20 per day was expensive.

Would I go back? Possibly although there are other quality hotels in the same area at lower prices and I might try those next time.

Room Tip: try and get a room at the rear of the hotel the road outside the front is very busy and noisy

We'd hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back when we can show you we can do so much better.

We went to the Dan Panorama Jerusalem to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel is located in a perfect place, allowing the guest to walk both to the old city and to major leisure and tourist attractions (Nachlat Shiv'a, Bet Agron etc.).
The room (we were upgraded to a suite) was magnificent, with a huge bathroom, nice balcony and a great Jerusalem vibe to it.
The business lounge is very nice too, and offers snacks and beverages from 1pm - 10pm.
The only thing we were less impressed with was the breakfast - it was ok, but compared to other Dan hotels, it was not very impressive.
All in all, it's a great place to stay if you're looking for a hotel in which you can park your car, and walk all over.

Room Tip: Take the Executive room.

We spent twelve days at this wonderful hotel and can't wait to return. The room we were upgraded to was just lovely with an nice view of a quiet side street. The staff are amazing as they could not do enough for you. For instance, Natalie the Guest Relations Manager offered me two of her summer tops to wear when I explained that I had come quite unprepared for the hot spell that Jerusalem was experiencing. As it was winter, the shops simply could not help me. Adel in the lobby restaurant stayed back to make sure we had dinner when we arrived back for a very long tour at 10.15pm. He always went out of his way to make sure we were happy with what we got. Al-Sayyed and Saad in the dining room were amazing, even offering us freshly squeezed orange juice when I once said that was nicer. The Shabbat dinner must not be missed and the breakfasts were a gourmet feast. Rueven and Gilad also could not have been more helpful as they assisted us daily with our Wifi problems. Sadly that is a weak spot as the service is temperamental. Wifi definitely needs upgrading. This is our third visit to the Dan and we will be back. Compared to other hotels where we have stayed, this is definitely the best as it is also wonderfully situated with gardens, shules, and shops all around.

Room Tip: Ask if you have a special need and they will try and help you.

Best Hotel I have ever stayed in!”
Fantastic Hotel, in a fantastic location to see everything this beautiful city has to offer! We stayed here for 4 nights over a long weekend break and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. All staff spoke brilliant English (if you are feeling lazy!) and were happy to book reservations for restaurants and helped us .
We booked through Expedia on a late deal so the price was very good and we had no problems. The room was fantastic, rooms cleaned daily and no noise issues. The bathroom was lovely with marble floor to ceiling and a sizeable bathtub.
On the top floor there is a fantastic view of the city from one of the higher points. Really couldn't fault this hotel or its staff, you made your break

I checked in and found it to be decent but old. I asked to check out the next day and they said I'd have to give a 24 hour notice, therefore, I had to stay 2 nights. so I did. When checking out they told me that my $219 per night rate is now $244 per night since I had a seven night reservation that is changed to two nights. I found that to be ridiculous. I paid anyway.

The lobby was nice. breakfast was ample and nice. Staff didn't have much authorization. they had to wait for the manager on the issues.

Tour buses kept pouring in. Lots of groups came in for a few nights.

That section of town was not for pedestrian shopping etc.

There is absolutely nothing negative to stay about this hotel! The best for bussinnes trip when you travel and for holiday for families also. Amazing hotel just to 15 minutes from the fantastic Old City. Staff will help you if needed. I had a very enjoyable stay at the Dan Panorama Jerusalem. Fantastic room, large, very comfortable bed, quiet, huge bathroom, very impressive. The fitness area had good equipment. I had no time for the spa:-( All members of staff were very professional and very nice people. Breakfast the best:-) kosher. So overall, excellent!!! Highly recommended!!!

Room Tip: rooms are really nice
